develop a Personal Brain iPhone App
I had posted this as an idea but was not clear that I expected an iPhone App that could Synch with "Brains in the Cloud" Thus having Cloud based Brains is a key step but did not "Complete" My original idea. An iPhone App would be able to take full advantage of the iPhone UI and Multi Finger controls.
Thus the repost
TheBrain for iOS is out now worldwide. It features separate native UIs designed for iPad and iPhone. Thanks everyone for your patience.

Early days yet but the App is not what I was expecting! The functionality is probably very good in terms of compatibility with the computer based TheBrain but some how the feel of the new App is rather lame and it is a big disappointment that it will not work unless connected to the Web. Not all of us have constant access to the Web and being able to work offline is essential. There should at least be the ability to download a small/medium sized brain (perhaps without all the attachments but having the ability to subsequently relink when online) or maybe something could be done that allowed a special 'App Parent' Thought and its children to be downloaded from a bigger brain and then worked on/with an iPad/iPhone when an internet connection to the cloud is not possible but that would re-sync when it could be re-established. 'Evernote' still has the upper hand I think when it comes to Apps!!

Looking forward to using the iPad app. One thing I've noticed is that a network connection is required for it to work - similar to the webbrain.
Is there any plan to allow it to sync the data to the device for offline use, and then sync back to the webbrain, just like the desktop apps? It would be a lot more responsive.
That would be fantastic :) -

Yippee! The app is in the Canadian store.
Please automate capitalization when creating new Thoughts, especially valuable when using speech to text in IOS7 devices.

Just wanted to throw in my two cents. I just discovered theBrain and I absolutely love it. I wish I had discovered it years ago. The biggest thing missing however is an iOS/Android app (an iPad app would be especially useful). Please push it to the top of your priorities. Thanks for the amazing product!

Although I prefer ipad and iphone, please include android app as well to ensure interoperability. Android is currently outpacing iOS.
Please disclose your roadmap as many people move on by lack any insight on short term/future releases!

It really is ironical that a program like TheBrain, so superbly developed for relational qualities, is falling short – that is TheBrain's management is falling short – on communicating with users on when iPad/iPhone apps are coming, or what may be the problems in developing them.

I would think that TheBrain for iPad should have priority over an iPhone app. It really is needed to gain full value from TheBrain.

... just to keep our still-consumer voice alive... we are waiting for a mobile solution. The development of this tool in the last years was great but slow. I personally was enforced to develop a similar solution in JS in 3 months. Ok first version runs on client browser but I never thought that we can make it.
Now I don't have any respect for non communication as with the provided "iOS release will come newsletter" or in the missing comments in this forum. What will be the price for Release 8? O the i7?
I loo for workarounds like other bloggers to keep my knowledge and information up-to-date.
Good luck - form a long year client

Need it. Like oxygen and motorcycles.

As others have mentioned iPad has penetrated into everyday working so far that without full ios support I suspect the brain will wither as folk turn to other portable info management tools that don't require online access to work
Having been a brain customer for what must be >10 years I too resent the deafening silence from the developers
I am getting the feeling that this must be a 'bridge too far'. Is a shame! -

My use of PB has also lapsed because of its lack of availability on the iPad. Maybe it's not a priority. This would be baffling. Alternatively, they haven't engineered the product in such a way to make a port easy.

Anyone knows an iOS alternative to PB? I'm not talking about mindmaps and tree-structured data management. I'm talking about the networked way of linking data together, as does PB.
