make linux work fully
I changed to Linux (Ubuntu) and my brain ain't working the same as in Windows.
No Drag and Drop
No color changes
No templates
Is there a time frame to make linux fully empowered?
Drag and drop in Linux is in TheBrain 7. Color changing problem under Linux has been fixed for some time now. Templates do work if you grant PB permission to modify the contents of the program folder.

Using beagle for the search index, looks like a reasonable fix.

Drag and Drop works with the file manager Mu Commander: http://www.mucommander.com/

Yes, drag & drop would be a really nice thing to have and import from firefox bookmarks as it seems to be available in Windows version.
When adding an attachment in Linux there are all (hundreds) of templates shown unsorted, but no application to choose like OpenOffice Write or Calc like in Windows you could choose Word or Excel to start an empty document. -

Integration with Thunderbird and Evolution would also be more than cool:
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/thunderbird/index.html
http://projects.gnome.org/evolution/Both works great in KDE and Gnome.
Beagle is also integrated with Evolution.

Integration with Beagle for total index of all documents would be great:
http://beagle-project.org/Main_Page
This is available in both KDE and Gnome, and is included with Suse distribution among others.

FYI, we did try the suggestions listed for getting drag and drop to work on Linux and they do not work as far as I can tell. Maybe they do on someone's configuration, but not on any we tested...

I think that Java Drag and Drop issue was solved some time ago, but not implemented in PB yet. See post 4 and 6 here:

Pressure needs to be applied where it is most needed. Java drag and drop is largely a problem for Sun to work out with the KDE and Gnome developers. That said, this gets my vote. And you forgot to mention all the Import capabilities....

Wish for file attachment search and more integration with Linux too.

Just for input here:
- Color changes work in KDE, so it might work in Kubuntu.
- Templates should work if you add you template documents to the /home/yourname/.PersonalBrain/templates folder?
