Collaboration Features
Allow PB users to collaborate in real-time via a shared network database. See the following forum posting for much more detail on this idea:

TeamBrain enables collaboration in TheBrain. Users can collaborate via WebBrain.com or a private server. See http://www.thebrain.com/products/teambrain or contact sales@thebrain.com for more information.

Brad's idea is spot on. I can imagine some complexities 'The Brain' product managers must be feeling with how to price a collaboration version. Here are my thoughts:
For small-medium business requiring a private instance of the brain, a SaaS model paid by the client to enable a number of seats would be the best approach.
For communities where the administrator (tribe leader) will have a hard time justifying the expense of enabling the 900 active contributors to his/her online brain, I recommend a smaller SaaS payment model say $3.99/month which many contributors would be willing to pay to participate in growth in their communities brain.

This is already possible if one copies the brain onto two machines. Then link both copies to a shared webbrain. Turn on the sync options and have fun.

I think this is key to break into the business market segment, where team collaboration is essential

I posted a request for something similar to this under Google Docs Features though this one is more appropriate to what I had in mind. Currently toying with bubble.us, mindmeister.com and comapping.com and leaning toward the last one for a team interaction though none of them come close ot PersonalBrain, which I was quite content with for over 10 years now, until I needed to collaborate more that is.

Isn't BrainEKP their product line for this job? BUT IT"S VERY EXPENSIVE. Anyway, I don't see a reason FOR THEM to change a single user application line to a multi-user while they've another product line for that.

Collaboration please! The ability to share a brain across a team would be HUGE. I and hundreds of thousands of others are currently prepared to pay a subscription of a hundred dollars a month to Basecamp to enable team collaborate on projects. I would probably do the same for PB collaboration! Come on guys get with the Web 2.0 business model!

I can just agree with many other users that an affordable collaboration and online / offline capable version of TheBrain is very important. Due to a lack of this I could not introduce it to my own (small) company, yet. And it is a pity to see how much information got lost over time due to the lack of these features. What is important that pricing is adapted to small companies to make it attractive

Online Brain is a must for consumers. If this product wants to live outside corporate walls it will have to go online. The question is... Does it want to live outside corporate walls? Though I suppose even these days corporations are going online with so many telecommuters. Fair enough, the Brain will have to go online.

I like the basic concept of collaboration, but it would have to be properly moderated and secure enough to resist hacking.
The people I work with haven't been able to master Yahoo! Groups, let alone a collaborative sitebrain. :(

Actually, I don't care sooo much about collaboration, it is more that I would like to have access to my Brain online.
