Display Metadata (Thought Type, etc.) in the Search Box
It would be really helpful to see more metadata like thought type and tags in the search box, and anywhere else thought captions appear.
Metadata provides crucial information that determines what the text in the caption means. Without that context, the text is often hard to interpret. Unless you include more information in the thought captions, ie, by using complete sentences rather than phrases. Which is what I’ve been doing. However, this sort of defeats the purpose of the metadata, as it is often redundant with it. It requires more typing and hence more time. It results in much longer captions which take up more space in the plex, eliminates the concise and brain-stimulating key-word approach of traditional mind-mapping, and forces me to manually type the same phrases over and over. Ie: Mr. X’s favorite hobbies are…, Mr. X likes to…, Mr. X did…
Simple solution: Include the name of the thought type in a column in front of the caption displayed in the search box. Display tag hints at the end of the caption just like they are in the plex. Add an option to ALWAYS show the parent thought(s) just like they currently are only when there are more than one thought with the exact same caption (thought caption < parent thought).
