I tested a little the new great feature, here some finetuning which would be absolutely great! :
1. It seems to me that the sync is not automated: you have to rerun File > Synchronize Calendar with Google Calendar each time. I think would be great to have an autosynch running each X minutes
2. It seems to me that just the main calendars of Google Calendar is synch: i use different calendar (like Works related, Family related, Sport related...) and i use PB for all my life, but now just the Work calendar in this way is synchronized. It would be great to have a synchronization on all Calendar
3. It seems to me that as for the reminder the synch is working just from PB to Google Calendar and not viceversa. I would find useful just an option to set that all the events imported from Google Calendar will have the same X minutes before reminder -

Ok, i finded how to sync with Google Calendar in the release notes:
The built-in calendar can be synced with your Google Calendar via the File > Synchronize Calendar with Google Calendar command

Any updates on this feature? This would be very helpful to have 2 way sync with Google Calendar. It would be easier to see my brain updates on my iphone and then associate new calendar entries to mybrain thoughts. BTW, if you need any beta testers I would love to try it.

It is irrelevant where iCal stores its data, as the basic question is, what interchange basic standards a software supports. In that perspective an iCal/vCal-Exchange is always the better way to go as it is the most basic standard emerged meanwhile on so many websites and other softwarepackages. Here I can exchange directly data with the software without the need to take the workaround via google.
Google-Calendar has the main disadvantage that the service is not secure (Google can quit on the service or loose its data any time they want - you have absolutely no rights here; and your data is insecure as it is not kept private - not feasable for sensible data like company development calendars, etc.).
In that perspective it seems more feasable for Pro-Users to have the iCal/vCal-Standard supported directly inside PB.

Would prefer Google calendar integration. I can't get iCal to work with the Brain. My mac is storing data in a different place.

YES YES YES!!! This would be very nice, especially for those of us who use Google Calendar as a central hub for syncing iPhone, Outlook, Thunderbird, etc.

Better: Allow standard iCal / vCal - Import/Export/Link in PB generally.

Harlan, good thing to hear that is started.
Will this become available in the 5.5 (beta) release? -
FYI, we have already been working on this for some time.

Sounds good to me. I use Google to sync my Outlook calendar and I sync my Outlook calendar to my PalmPilot device. This would include my brain in my calendar updating loop.
