   node types with structured meta data

   It would be nice to be able to define types of nodes with associated properties. For example, maybe an "event" type node with properties such as "name of event", date, duration, etc.  I could also envision a "person" type node with name, birth place, birth date, etc... more

   It would be nice to be able to define types of nodes with associated properties. For example, maybe an "event" type node with properties such as "name of event", date, duration, etc.  I could also envision a "person" type node with name, birth place, birth date, etc.  Yet another example could be a "research" type node with the name of the research paper, lead author's name, university affiliation, date published, names of other collaborators.

   I imagine that the structured data structures would be relational and this would facilitate logical data-base oriented queries beyond tagging.  For example, find all research papers published between 2001 and 2002.  Find all research papers with "cognition" in the title and "Jones" as lead author.

   Find all people born in a certain state during a certain time.

   I am thinking about the query capability to make it easier to do more interesting investigations (especially for users who may not have created the brain)

   Move webpage into Brain.

   We already have the option to move a file into a Brain, rather than simply provide a shortcut. Webpages are transitory and it is entirely possible for a link to a web page to fail. It would be really helpful if the web page could also be imported into the Brain, providing a 'hard copy'.

   Callaborative Wikipedia style online brain

   I'm thinking all the time of turning Wikipedia into some kind of collaborative visual environment, and PersonalBrain might do the trick. If not by making some plugin to Wikipedia, it could surely function by setting up an online brain for this purpose. A "plugin" would be better though,... more

   I'm thinking all the time of turning Wikipedia into some kind of collaborative visual environment, and PersonalBrain might do the trick. If not by making some plugin to Wikipedia, it could surely function by setting up an online brain for this purpose. A "plugin" would be better though, as the PB environment maybe isn't best for discussion. This giant brain would then just reflect what's happening on Wikipedia, and you can browse the articles as "nodes" in the brain and open them in external browser or maybe an internal.

   This would be a great step forward towards constructing collaborative visual environments for learning, and kind of great advertisement for the company as well.

   Shift | Link should recognize Link dialogue

   New 4.5.2.0 feature shift-link to "move" a link, disconnecting it from previous parents is great! But should also work with the dialogue box which finds the link you're linking to, because this is the way link moves are usually executed. Right?
