develop a Personal Brain iPhone App
I had posted this as an idea but was not clear that I expected an iPhone App that could Synch with "Brains in the Cloud" Thus having Cloud based Brains is a key step but did not "Complete" My original idea. An iPhone App would be able to take full advantage of the iPhone UI and Multi Finger controls.
Thus the repost
TheBrain for iOS is out now worldwide. It features separate native UIs designed for iPad and iPhone. Thanks everyone for your patience.

I am also a former PB Pro user. No mobility left me out in Version 5... today I reevaluated getting back, but still no Ipad app and the poor webbrain version will keep me away. Yesterday I paid 10 usd for ithoughts HD. It is good but is not PB. I'll continue with Evernote. Will try again in a year... Maybe then!

Since getting an iPad and iPhone, my life has changed to a much more mobile paradigm. Yes, I still use a laptop, but it's not "with me" much of the day, though the iPad and/or iPhone is. As a result I've had to abandon my regular use of PersonalBrain... it's simply not practical or accessible for me like it needs to be. The web version of PB is, sad to say, pretty useless. So when the eventual iPad version of PB comes out, I'll eagerly evaluate it, hoping that it is incredibly easy to use while on the go. If it isn't (ala web version), well... maybe someone else will create an app for that. Fingers crossed.

I have used PB for 3-4 years. And loved it and recommended it and touted its praises hither and yon. But due to the lack of syncing iPhone/iPad apps, I'm moving everything into EverNote. If the "Notes" section of your thoughts is what is most important, then EverNote is great. And it syncs beautifully between devices. And I can selectively share thoughts/notes with other users. Sorry, Brain. I will miss you.

YES PLEASE.
I take my iPad with me everywhere, even when I don't have a computer handy. Right now, I have to record my thoughts in a notetaking app, then wait until I get home to put those thoughts into my brain. It'd be so much better if I could cut out that intermediate step and add to my brain from my iPad.

Right you are. More accurately, an iPad app would be more useful than an iPhone app (strictly because of screen real estate). But since developing in Xcode allows the same program to be compiled for both, there should be no issue. The greater concern is that Brain, Inc isn't (as far as I can tell) being out front and letting us know if they are considering or developing such an app.

Actually the iPhone would not be a good platform for the Brain, it needs at least the screen area of an iPad. As an enthusiastic user of both Brain and iPad, i would love to be able to browse a brain on the iPad and some limited annotation capability

iOS support with desktop syncing (Windows & Mac). For me, cloud syncing is optional

There needs to be an 'APP' (Apple / Android). The Webbrain is a step in the right direction but its different, there needs to be needs to be something like 'Evernote' that allows capture of all sorts of data that can be sync'd across platforms and than can be integrated into and ultimately sync'd with brains. It does not need to have the full functionality of the brain or the same UI but the ideas, thoughts captured while out and about need to be available for integration into brains when the time is appropriate.

Iphone connection would bring the use of the application to unparalleled leaps in how we absorb information and store in for future use. It stores what we process in short term stimuli and stores it permanently for future use!

Real iPhone iPad support = dream come true. Hire the guys you need, and make all the cash back, and more.

Forget the whole idea on iPad - just buy the new Samsung Slate 7 (or with Win 8) and run the real Personal Brain MUCH FASTER than on a slow iPad

Of course PB for iPad would be stellar ... so how would links to local files and embedded attachments work? Would we have to upload all these to some Web Brain cloud thing? What about mail? For gmail users, perhaps full integration with Google? The possibilities are endless. Too bad the programming budget is not :)

a native ipad brain with all the features would be incredible ... I am finding the ipad to be device of choice on a lot of work things ... this would really step up the utility

I really like Personal Brain but I have also been using Evernote, admittedly a different package, but somehow the user interface is better with Evernote.Of course, the interlinking of ideas is nothing when compared with PersonalBrain. Both programmes have 'notes', so why do Evernotes 'notes' seem somehow more user friendly than Personal Brain's 'notes'?
Then again I use an iPad and the Evernote App is really useful, more accessible than Webbrain so perhaps its the iPad that is driving me towards Evernote. Yes! there has to be a PersonalBrain App. Oh! and I really like being able to select sections of the Evernotes 'notes' that I can encrypt; that's really important.
