Timeline
To have the possibility to add a new metadata to the thought that is Time. This should not be the creation date but simply a date added by the user.
Thoughts can then be visualized on a timeline. It will be nice that links will be visible in this new view of the plex.
May be this is a big implementation to insert in a new version. But I think will be very usefull to add a new dimension to the Brain.
TheBrain 9 includes a new timeline view with the ability to show thoughts on the timeline as well as calendar events that will be syncable with Google Calendar.
The timeline view features the ability to assign thoughts start and end times and to see those times visualized over a smoothly scaling, fully animated display spanning anywhere from multiple years to several hours and everywhere in between. Rather than replacing the existing view of the plex, the timeline works in concert with the plex so that clicks on the timeline can trigger thoughts on the plex and vice versa.

I'm plotting out an historically accurate work of fiction spanning a few decades. I want to use PersonalBrain for this, but to do so I really need to be able to map events, character development, etc to a timeline.

Allow multiple timetags, like a modification history.

Please, implement it soon, it is one of the most missing pieces in the actual Personal Brain, along with structured data fields.

Yes, space and time are key factors in orienting us humans....so a timeline would be a great feature!!!!!

I am currently evaluating PersonalBrain Pro and can see the vast potential of this product. However, I am quite perplexed at the lack of functions that would empower the user to utilize time as an organizational tool. Place and time have always been essential elements of how we assimilate most data from the world in our minds. I like this product but the lack of this feature will force me to keep looking.

Time lines are great idea. I would like to add that if this is possible it would be good to have multiple time lines, not just one.
Also time lines can be represented with some sort of special links that have a direction in reference to time.

i would appreciate the concept of a timeline "level" or "view" very much as am still looking/hoping for the implementation of real "project management" tools.

This would be a great feature - especially when using PersonalBrain for presentations

Yes, the simile timeline is attractive--but as I understand the widget, there's quite a bit of layout-customization-script/code behind it. Each timeline is labor intensive.
I'd like some capability within PB which automates much of the layout.

When looking for timeline solutions I found "Web Widget for Visualizing Temporal Data" http://www.simile-widgets.org/timeline/ which seem interesting also for PersonalBrain.

Something along the lines of Eastgate's Tinderbox timeline.

Thoughts added to the Calendar
Calendar Date = Tag and Super Tag(s)
Every Calendar Entry is automatically assigned a Tag and Super Tag
Suggest starting with a three-level domain (constraint) to make it manageable:
Year - Month - Day
Month - Day - Hour
Day - Hour - Minute
Hour - Minute - Seconds
Some applications may require additional levels.
Date = Tag -- would enable an outline view as a way of presenting a Timeline.

Love this one too! Also really exciting! But my votes are not needed here.

See new thoughts on "time-machine" functionality - being able to scroll back and forth through time within the brain will allow you to see the evolution of your thinking. Similar idea to the time-line discussion here, but also somewhat different.

Good Idea!
It can be well realized by creating Types with user-defined set of fields like in databases. Suggested here:

This is a very required feature by many of us brain users, as of now there isn't one single application that allows you to create rich, dynamic meta information time lines that allow you to see the things you have to do in a time context and be able to calculate based on that, to foresee, forecast. I have some ideas as of how it could look.
The task might seem daunting from a developer perspective but if you guys manage it this could be a very powerful feature.
Here is one idea as of how it might be implemented

and another one

also I think this is a cool 3d timeline idea

The one I like the most is the last one is very clear. -

I would recommend making the time default to the time of entry with the ability to change it by the author. I would put this feature right behind being able to define the order of the thoughts in the plex, similar to an outline. Currently they are alphanumerically ordered without the ability to reorder the thoughts without having to edit and add a letter (like a letter "A" before the topic you wish to see appear first in the display order when you select the outline view) or number to a thought.
