Copy & Paste Thought Tags
I'd wish to copy Tags from one thought to another one.
Right click -> Copy Tags, Right Click -> Paste Tags.
Having to assign tags one by one and again and again is a very tedious and time consuming task.

Adding customizable variable data (with units) to a thought. theBrain will be able to manage Cost Breakdown structure or schedule.
Imagine a "variable" tab into a Thought.
Imagine for exemple in this tab, the variable "selling price" in $ or the variable "cost price", or another exemple "time" in days.Imagine I can create, in this tab, a variable which is : "sum of all the "selling price" of all the child".
With that, I'm able to create a complete Cost Breakdown structure....and with the power of TheBrain, I'm able to create a "flexible point of view" cost Breakdown structure.
With a variable time, I'm able to create a complete schedule.

Evernote - Better if not full Integration
I use Evernote store a large amount of information and would like to use Thebrain to visualise that information. At the moment I can create a link in Evernote desktop then paste into TheBrain but then have to go back to Evernote to copy the title to paste into the thought. - Tedious!
Evernote is developing rapidly with 100 million users - business opportunity?
Mind Manager permits Evernote links to open in the desktop version where most users do most of their work.

add thought type, link type, color to many thoughts at once
It would be very helpful, especially when adding lots of new thoughts, to be able to highlight multiple thoughts, and automatically add characteristics (thought type, link type, color, etc.) to all at the same time. If this capability exists, I sure can't find it.
7 votesHold down the control key and click the thoughts to select them. You can also select by control-clicking a gate, using search, using a report, or using the crawl function. Once you have a selection, right-click to set the thought type.
Currently you can’t set link type or color this way – if you’d like to be able to do that, vote for this. :)

SiteBrain links to display their types
Much is made of the ability to assign types to every link we create between thoughts. Auto-formatttng of these is also really powerful. So, it's disappointing that these types (and any formatting, including even the type label) are ignored when creating and publishing SiteBrains. End users of SiteBrains would really benefit from the ability to see these types, when hovering with their mouse, or auto-displayed in the plex.

Show event date in thought
Need feature to show event date and in plex view. This maybe realized as option "to show" in thought properties tab. This feature will be very usefull for organize thought that contents any planned tasks and events.

Quick Entry HUD
I'm a fan of GTD and OmniFocus.
One feature I very much appreciate w/ OF is the
QUICK ENTRY
window, i.e. w/ a hotkey combination a HUD window opens in which I can type what popped up in my mind w/o knowing at the time being in which project or context to file it so it will be filed automatically into the INBOX for later reviewing.Would it be possible to have a similar feature in PB?

Enable "open new page" when clicking a link in webbrain (rather than just change window below plex)
We're using the Brain (via webbrain) as a site map to our very complex website. The many different URLs have been as attachments to thoughts. But when users click on the thought/URL it only changes the view below the plex. INSTEAD IT SHOULD OPEN A NEW PAGE..... please!! :)

RPC API
Ability to CRUD nodes via xml from various apps, send commands (navigation, search, esp type contexting etc). This could make PB a million times more useful. We could develop our own plugins and integrate from whatever apps. I want to use/like PB but the interface is just so slow compared to "editor of choice". It's great for navigating thoughts but adding them is so tedious. It's so mouse centric.

Multiple personalities in one brain
Similar to the way I can opt to turn on and off different calendars, it would be great to turn on and off and view multiple brains at once. Turn off "business" brain and those thoughts aren't visible. Or different passwords for different merged brains, so different users have different access to thoughts and notes.

Managing Pins by transfer from to selection
Pins and even different pins-sets could be managed by one of two ways:
1. Transfer a given Tag to pins & vice versa.
or
2. Transfer selection to pins & vice versa2 would include 1 because tags can be transferred easily to selection.
This would allow to mark the thoughts of different pins-sets by different tags and load them back to the pin-row.

Mandatory version of Java Runtime Environment
With the recent issue of disappearing notes due to the new version of Java Runtime Environment being used as found in several posts on the forum, I wanted to propose the following. When the developers compile the PersonalBrain.exe file to mandate the maximum version of Java Runtime Environment to match the latest version they have performed their testing with. This should help reduce the occasion that an issue can creep up due to some change Oracle made to the Java Runtime Environment. At which point said issue would befall on the users of PersonalBrain when they upgrade their Java Runtime…

map thaughts over background image
I would like to map thoughts over background images that become active with a particular thought. e.g. when the thought "creativity" is active, I would like to have a selection of background images, which I can move on the surface. e.g. over this background I would like to pin thoughts, as written down on the background image. Whereas when one of the thought is used with a different parent thought, I might want to have a very different background image for that parent thought. I think it is useful if I could have multiple background images linked to one parent…

Add the ability to hoist sections of the brain
The functionality would be that you select the thought to hoist, and only that thought and all child or jump thoughts (including jump thoughts on children) related to that thought appear in the plex. When hoisted, only thoughts within that range are searchable. This will allow you to concentrate on sections while working on a project.

open with - default program : set it per thought
Very often I need to open a link or attachment in another program than the OS default. I would like to set the program to open an attachment or link in the thought itself.
Example: My job is testing web applications. I have my personal preferences (Firefox) for a browser, but some job relates sites work best in 1 browser (Google docs -> Chrome), and for many sites to test my boss tells me which browsers are supported (usually IE).
