I would add that it would be good to incorporate the template with thought types. When a user creates a thought type now, the brain activates the type thought. If the user could add template thoughts/notes/tags at this time, it would seem ideal to me.

I grab a lot of web pages. Typically, I set TheBrain to transparent mode and drag the url onto the spinning wheel of the active thought. TheBrain grabs the page title and URL and makes the page a child thought of the active thought.

PersonalBrain would be excellent to create numbered outlines. In the same manner that MS Word auto generates the list number with each paragraph, PB would generate the list number for the creation of each thought. users would be able to select the list type... for example:
Roman numerals (I, II, III)
Legal (1.0, 1.1, 1.2.1)The result would be a thought names that would look like:' IV. Birds' or 'IV.a. Chicken ' or '1.1.2 Blue Hen'
Jump thoughts would be tricky but a 'J' could be appended to the number (1.1.2J.), or created Jump thoughts might not be numbered at all.

I added my votes here and removed from my submission. I think this is spot on.

Agreed, Wolfgang,
I would like to see two communication between, PersonalBrain and social media apps.

FB App
Have a Facebook App that allows you to like or share a thought from PersonalBrain application. A possible implementation would be that when a user installs the PersonalBrain they add their FB account information and PersonalBrain stores the information. When a user wants to share or like the thought, they right click and are presented the option. In FB the tagline might be Ren Pope shared a thought. If there is an image file as an attachment, it can show just as FB shows images for links to web pages. Notes should show up as well.
Twitter Integration
Pretty much the same thing. When a user selects to tweet the thought, the though text/name becomes the tweet.Ren Pope shared this idea ·

I like this for the look and feel of a note or type of notes. That is choose the styling of titles, background etc.
The structure of the text I think is better served by: http://thebrain.uservoice.com/forums/4597-thebrain/suggestions/70182-node-types-with-structured-meta-data-?ref=title
This way you can have more structure across the brain and do things like search addresses across the brain.

A specific example is:
MS Word Outline
1.0 Main Topic One
1.1 Subtopic One
2.0 Main Topic Two
2.1 Sub Topic TwoTheBrain exports the though names as
Main Topic One
Subtopic One
Main Topic Two
Sub Topic TwoTheBrain should retain the outline numbers.

Brice, I saw your post and thought it was great., I wanted to expand on the idea with twitter and the ability to parse out links, hash tags, dates, etc. Is there a way to merge suggestions here?

I bought a MotionComputing Tablet specifically for PersonalBrain authoring and it works extremely well. Using a stylus to create thoughts is very natural.

I would like to see a SMTP integration to ingest any type of mail.
This is similar to http://thebrain.uservoice.com/pages/4597-personalbrain/suggestions/70182-node-types-with-structured-meta-data-
