    Besides displaying the name of the active thought.
    Just to the right of that in a different colour...
    (as defined by user in an options dialog somewhere)
    could appear the name of any alternative thought
    that the cursor may currently be hovering over.
    When the two Title Names = same,
    the right hand Title Name would disappear.
    First idea (Dryopithecus) is especially useful /
    Saves time wasting glances at plex

    Second idea is good for ascertaining that you not reading foreign notes content,
    thus avoiding confusing thoughts notes (while editing / reviewing) that might be similar

  8. allow both sides of any thought to bear links to jump thoughts simultaneously; less messy result.

    Ah! An alternative approach to the more recent entry
    Right Click / Duplicate Parent thought(s)
    although the latter would duplicate several parents at once in the right context

    Additional thought... The blank thought, once created could automatically show the name of the unseen thought that it links to (perhaps shown in brackets to indicate that it is a spacer)

    Another possiblilty
    User types in MC 04/05/2010 ~~10 (0r some such other recognizable sequence)
    and Brain creates 10 new thought in continuing date sequence

    This is a very good suggestion. In addition it would be great to import a Firefox Horizontal bookmark menu bar (complete with drop down lists from each folder) into the brains GUI in the redundant windows margin at top. This would stay synchronised with each Firefox Bookmarks Favorites update and would also be reproduced in the brain tree structure as well for wp notes in fields etc

    Perhaps it might be better to make deleting the previous parent relationship(s) optional
    This would be determined by a tickbox setting in preferences somewhere
