the possibility to import a list of pair of thoughts names to create jumps would be very useful when importing data from spreadsheet
(thoughts name should be identified to existing thoughts or created just as is it is done for notes import)V2Belleville shared this idea ·

it's all in the title!... the idea is to be able to store backups on a third party's server, therefore being able to protect access to brainzip

it would only take to display the size of the node's directory in the "with internal attachment" report and add the possibility to sort the report results by directory size ...

absolutely: when a brain gets too big, it would be good to be able to have a report by internal file size to check if all the big one really still need to be in the brain...
also, it would be useful to have an option to be able to decide for each internal file, whether it should be/not be included into brainzips (despite the general setting for this). it is sometime good to have certain files in the brain, but if they are big and you do not modify them, you do not want them in every back-up you make.
a general setting to overide file specific choices should then also be added, to still be able to have a complete back-up from time to timeV2Belleville supported this idea ·

this would be particularly useful for urls refering to jpg, pdf and such files (and maybe easier to implement fr these than for html pages which often requires several files to be properly displayed)

I totally agree with jkrjora : I use one big brain for all my documentation and intellectual production, I use evernote as some sort of RAM, to gather inputs and decide what to do with them. 'would be great to be able to drag an evernote note into The Brain to instantly transfer the content into the Brain by creating a new thought (EN title as thought name, EN text as The Brain Note, EN audio attachement as The Brain Attachement...)
NB: in evernote, it is now possible to get a link to a specific note so you can link a Brain thought to an evernote note, but that only works if you leave the information in evernote...
