  1. I don't understand why, in the Reports tab, thoughts filtered by type are not given their own drop-down list. Currently this means we can search for thoughts of a particular type, but we can't identify the parentless, orphan, etc. thoughts within that type, and vice versa.

Tags and Attachments are given separate drop-down lists. There's plenty of room left on the Results tab, so why not Types too?

  2. I am using PB to give lectures and would like to export them so that the students can learn with the html file at home. Currently, all my private thoughts get exported as well (no links, but data are there in the html folder...).
I would love to have the possibility to export selected parts of the Brain only. I think this would be an excellent tool for the classroom!

  3. I would like to have an optional setting in control panel which replaces "forget" with "delete" in the context menu and deletes the selected thought when you press delete (WITHOUT holding down shift key)

  4. The option to drag files into the brain works execellent but too bad it doesn´t work the other way around. Often i need to move a file OUT of the brain onto my desktop, USB-device etc. What i suggest is simply that when you drag a file or folder icon outside the brain window the file will be moved out of the brain.

  5. I have private thoughts that I do not want to show when I give a presentation (such as all the webpages and files I used for the preparation). Would it be possible to select view/exclude private thoughts in the presentation mode?

  8. You've already given us the Home key as a quick way to return to whatever Thought we set to this key.

PgUp, PgDn and End are all close and handy and don't seem to be doing much in the Plex right now. How about enabling us to assign other Thoughts to them?

  10. Left-clicking on a Thought in Reports activates it, which is fine.
Ctrl+Left-clicking a thought in Reports adds it to selection, which is also fine.
Right-clicking a thought in Reports not only brings up its context menu but also activates it, which is unnecessary and displaces the active thought in the Plex - very annoying. Most thought context menu options don't require activation, so why does this have to happen?

There - I've used up all my votes.

  11. On a thought with a long title, the title is shortened until a mouse-over even at which time the thought expands to the full size of the text.

On a thought with an attachment, this makes clicking on the attachment icon impossible.

User can still get to and launch the attachment through the Properties and Attachments tab or a right-click on the thought to get to the Properties and Attachment dialog box.

But the one-click attachment launch feature cannot be used on thoughts with long names.

    Thanks.

  12. The ALT key combined with a letter, character or number (fore xample ALT+1) is very handy to use for the Accelerators, but it's rendered useless because ALT activates the menu shortcuts as well adding a significant delay to the Accelerator. Combining it with a SHIFT or CTRL or not using it is a workaround, but using it alone within an Accelerator is desired. Perhaps a way to remove the delay?

I remember the ALT+arrows for back and forward working fast before the upgrade, perhaps the lag is newly introduced.

I hope my idea of a brain is the same as that of PB team, because otherwise it seems I'll often be sent to hell because of the mismatch of our views!! I WANT A MASSIVE CENTRAL BRAIN FOR EVERYTHING!! Not many ini pitsi ones!!! This means the features has to support for example finding the right thought quickly no matter how big the brain is. And now explaining the problem:

Normally prior to this release, the quick search result entries --dynamically displayed directly above the search terms while typing-- would show the parent of the…

  14. For a long time we have been able to navigate up and down Reports and the Selection box OK by using the Up/Down keys, but for some reason have been unable to use the keyboard to activate the selected Thought by pressing Enter! We have to pick up the mouse each time to do this.

  15. We also need "Focus on Reports" and "Focus on Selection" keyboard accelerators (similar to "Focus on Notes" and "Focus on Search") to allow us to begin selecting Thoughts with the cursor without needing to click Reports or Selection to begin keyboard navigation

  16. This would allow Tags to have very short, cryptic names, and a full explanation in the Notes field. It would also help the user to remind himself/herself of the scope of each tag.

  17. Keyboard users can't select a non-active Thought with the green ring, then Add it to selection with a single command; they must activate it first. This is because this particular command was placed on the Edit menu along with all the other Selection menu options.

Add to Selection belongs on the Thought menu and not on the Edit menu, since it relates to something you do with a Thought that's not in there yet, not something you do with the Thoughts already in there! Putting this command in the Edit menu restricts it to the Active Thought.
