--------------------------------------------------------------It would be nice to be able to simply right click a thought and schedule a task/calendar event directly from the thought. In my opinion, this would be a quicker and much easier key stroke than having to always navigate to the calendar section at the bottom of the screen.

Note: A vote for this item is considered to be a vote for drag and drop from iCal, Address Book, and other built in Mac applications with 3rd party apps such as Entourage a 2nd priority.

Virtual folders are already supported just like they work on Windows.

Spotlight integration is already completed in version 5.0.0.9.

Version 5.0.1.1 includes many Mac OS enhancements including iCal, Address Book, and Mail integration.

  3. When developing a People Network it's very useful to know how to get to certain people. Thik about GPS. You set the start and the end thought and the app shows you the shortest path.
I use it for fundrising and PR.
Another well overlooked feature is the link weight. I would like to know the shortest (counting the nodes) or the most reliable (based on the links weight) path.
    Thank you.

This has been available for quite a while… In TheBrain 11 select the two thoughts you want to see the path between then right click on the selection area and choose “Select Path Between”. It will show the shortest possible path (or paths if there are multiple of the same length) between the two selected thoughts.

  4. At the moment is does not seem possible to print directly from the Notes Screen or the Properties and Attachments Screen
It would be good to be able to print an entire note or a selection from a note by selecting it and then pressing 'Print' in the notes menu or using a 'right click' or 'right click' equivalent.
The same should be possible when an Attachment(s) is/are selected in the Properties and Attachments pane.

  6. Currently the OS X port does not have this capability in the fully paid version.
The ability to search is not an added extra these days ... its a basic requirement.

One of the great potential selling points about TheBrain is platform independence. It has the potential to solve senior IT management's issues with being tied down to OS and hardware and therefore tout a KMproduct that they can roll out across the enterprise.
This is a highly desired feature!!

  7. Similar as in Adobe Acrobat or MS Word, where it is possible to see two different parts of the document at the same time.

This could be done side-by-side or by a horizontal split. Linking Thoughts between two very different parts of the brain would then be much easier and more comfortable (no need to do it via history list or temporarily pinned thoughts).

  8. The ability to have a 'smart' thought which has the same name as a tag and which would have all thoughts with that tag shown as children below it.

Since we have the possibility to specify multiple tags, it would be nice to be able to report on thoughts with a specific combination of tags.

For example, if I have the tags Work, Personal, and Reference, and I want to show my work reference items, I can only either specify work, or reference.

  11. Dropped Outlook mails are linked (via URL) and content is copied into notes
If you then move the mail in a different Outlook folder it is no longer retrievable
It would be useful to be able to phisycally move the msg file into the brain (same effect as dropping mail msg on desktop, then dragging onto brain, then moving file into brain)
    msg file should be searchable
    Value:
    msg is no longer moved/lost
single copy of the msg (cleaner outlook boxes)
msg can be forwarded/replied to even when brain moved to different PC

  12. http://websitetoolbox.com/tool/post/thebrain/vpost?id=1991080&highlight=moving+thought

What i suggest is that when you hold down SHIFT key while draging a link from one child to another parent, PB will create the new link and unlink the thought from the old parent link.

This could be called "Shift-linking", "link and unlink" or simply "move" (instead of linking).

  13. An option to show links as Curved Lines instead of Straigt Lines for more distinct view. It can give a feeling of natural Flow between items and helps more easily trace the links of a crowded brains. A few examples can be seen here >>

  14. "Copy as Text Outline" is really the 'people's' export, since it takes much time and technical expertise to get anything useful out of the XML representation of exported data.

Please consider an option to add Notes to the text outline, or configure a form with checkmark toggles for which fields the user would like to include in the outline.

  16. It would be nice to have a types tab. You know, just like there is a tags tab. I use a lot of types and tags in my brains and it's rather convenient to have a tags tab open alongside the plex. This way it is a lot easier to attach tags to a thought. Just one click away.

It is a real headache to select a necessary type: you should open context menu, select second level context menu and scroll through it (I’ve got quite a list of types). Often you accidentally move your mouse cursor aside, the menu…

The idea is to deliver a complete product to a customer, but without giving him the ability to modify it.

  18. Microsoft OneNote is becoming a mainstream application, not just for tablets. It currently offers the capability to hyperlink to a specific paragraph or page and this hyperlink can be easily pasted into PB5. PB5 treats this as a webpage link but nevertheless it works perfectly.

PB5 should allow the creation of hyperlinks to a specific thought which could be pasted into OneNote (or any other Windows' application), thus completing the circuit. Or, PB5 could provide the user with the capability to totally replace the PB notes section within PB5 with Microsoft OneNote.

Using both PB5 and Microsoft OneNote adds a…

  20. I'd like to be able to link to PB from a thought URL in another application. In other words, I'd like to drop a thought URL into a Word doc or a OneNote note and then click on it to open PB at that thought.
