Idea capture
I've been using TB for 20 years; yup I'm an original.
As may seem logical, as much as TB is my virtual office space; I use other products and they inspire me to view their functions and capabilities that would fit nicely into TB without it seeming to be some kind of copy of competing products.
I trialled Tana app recently, and as much as it's to me just another complex PKM product that simply cannot rival TB, it has a rather awesome mobile device app called Tana Capture and I am super convinced we Brain users would benefit immensely from their app design that others are already mimicking.
See the attached image that may give you an idea of the absolute simplicity of their approach. If I was to use Tana as my PKM app, I'd be happily using their Tana Capture app.
I would envisage a capture tool to be a quick capture function as an app that directly syncs with TB box so that users could decide to categorize at their leisure.
I do blab, and just want to see TB do better at capturing quick ideas.

Maybe the time is now right to add a dialog/ button when we open (in particular) the new and excellent mobile approach that allows the user to make a quick capture of a text, image, doc camera snapshot and/or voice memo that can be synced to (maybe) TB box (or another convenient space) for further usage considerations.

I 100% agree - I too am the same TB Vintage (actually PB vintage) and have always wanted something like this.. clear, simple, (no fiddling), effective (delivered right to where it can be triaged when back at the desktop.)
I have not used Tana - but your screenshot exemplifies what would really seal the deal for me ... the new mobile /iOS app is a really great improvement but is often too small and fiddly for quick capture scenario.
