Directly Activate Thought Links in Notes
In V15 beta, when you click a link in a note, that pops up a little dialog (see attached screenshot) which shows the text of the link and a hamburger (a menu button). By clicking on the text, you can finally bring up the linked item (a note or external URL).
From a user's point of view, this creates avoidable friction because it bundles functionality that could be achieved by other means as well:
- let me start with the hamburg menu that is brought: that can also be access through the context menu, so there really is no need to have that functionality here, too.
- so if we simplify the click action and take out the hamburger, we're left with confirmation functionality - and that should (in the interest of an efficient workflow) be controlled through the config of the brain or a user-related setting:
show confirmation dialog for internal links
confirm external URLs
activate links immediately
