Copy and pasting PNG icons

I have several icons that are a PNG image with a transparent background. When I select the thought with the icon and copy it and paste this icon into another thought, the transparency is lost.

    Hi. I had the same problem and a quick GPT chat suggested and it solved the problem.

    1. Drag/drop or attach the PNG file into TheBrain instead of Ctrl+C/Ctrl+V. That should preserve the file's alpha channel.

    2. If you're copying from a browser, save the image first and then drag the saved PNG into TheBrain.

    3. If you're converting SVG → PNG, make sure the converter outputs an actual transparent PNG.

    4. Test copying the exact same PNG from different programs — e.g. Windows Explorer, Paint.NET, IrfanView, browser — and see which one causes TheBrain to turn transparency black.
