Improve XML export
PB is supporting a fashion of XML which is not really recognised by the XML tools which I have at hand. Having a proper XML support would make the work with the Brain data for creating reports or workflow graphs much easier.
Please give more detail about what you mean. The XML exported by PersonalBrain is “proper”, I can assure you (it is valid and does follows all the rules of properly formed XML). What tools are you referring to?

JSS, we are leaving the application of PB's XML to external uses to the community. If you look on the forums you will find that there are already users who have developed tools for using PersonalBrain data in PowerPoint as well as Excel.

Lanker, I can assure you that attachments and reminders are indeed included in the XML. The XML has all of the data inside your Brain. Perhaps you had selected a Thought or Thoughts that did not have any attachments or reminders? At any rate, the XML exported by PersonalBrain is what is used internally by the software for copying and paste so it is by necessity complete.

I invested some time in going through the xml and found out, why my tool did not work properly with it. Running the Beta version I extracted a brain into xml, which neither had attachments nor reminders. Nevertheless the tags </Attachments> and </Reminders> had been generated.

PB uses an XML export in place of destination-specific export schemes; that's fine and potentially more flexible. To make usable, PB should point users to a shareware XML converter and create a tutorial that uses the converter with one or two real templates to deliver selected fields to Excel, MM, whatever. Crucial because PB is strong at saving and retrieving thoughts, not calcs, displays, etc.
