I would like to be able to change link types all at once, similar to being able to changing types all at once.
I would like to be able to change link types all at once, similar to being able to changing types all at once. You can go to a parent thought and link all to children, so I think by this same logic you should be able to easily implement something like a change multiple link types at once. I use this a lot for families and showing lines of succession. I have siblings and spouses, children, etc. Having something like this would quickly be able to make my link type visible as something like "Sibling", "Parent/Child" or "Spouse". Out of everything TheBrain14 offers I think this is the biggest thing that could really speed up workflow. People will quickly see the benefits of having something like this.
I would also request a way to search through link types quickly, but I don't really have a solution for that. Currently I have around 100 link types and scrolling through the list every time to select one quickly eats up time.

Thanks for chiming in! Over the months I've grown my brain to 1.2 million thoughts and about 80gb. Links types are invaluable and I wish there was more functionality for sure. Another thing I'd had is to be able to turn on/off different link types while viewing the matrix. It would be like a 3d version of sorting. I have 150 link types and it would be valuable for me to see things like family trees or chronological order of kings/presidents. I've got all of these in my brain currently and with something like that it would become an even stronger research tool.

After several months of working with the brain I have the impression that there is more focus on what you can do with the thoughts than what you can do with the links between the thoughts...
You can order thoughts, you can't order links
You can select different thoughts with Ctrl Select or rectangle select, you can't select the links that way
You can paste the (copied) colour of a certain thought onto a selection of thoughts, you can't do that with the links
The general "shaping" of TB (thoughts and links) would benefit from a "match properties" functionality that you find in most programs
Putting the same focus on the links- as there was already put on the thoughts-functionality would for sure benefiting the functionality of TB in general a lot!
Support for these points from other users would be welcome in order to put these higher on the development-agenda of TB!
Kind regards,
Jean-Marc
