Bring thebrain 14 timeline back
To the TheBrain Team,
Please restore the classic TheBrain 14 bottom timeline view (or provide an option to enable it in TheBrain 15). Many of us relied on that persistent timeline for fast, visual navigation of our work over time, and the current alternatives do not offer the same clarity or efficiency. Bringing this timeline back, even as an optional legacy view, would preserve long‑established workflows and significantly improve usability for long‑time users.

I’m writing to request that you consider reinstating the previous timeline ruler feature, or introducing a new equivalent.
The earlier timeline view was extremely valuable for research because it provided an overall chronological perspective of my Brain. It allowed me to see when organisations, programs, or projects were formed and closed, where their active periods overlapped, and when particular members joined or left.
The new calendar view appears well suited to meetings, appointments, and scheduled events, but it does not provide the same continuous chronological overview. For research involving organisations, historical relationships, membership changes, and overlapping periods of activity, that broader timeline perspective is critical.
One of TheBrain’s greatest strengths is its ability to support complex research and reveal relationships that are difficult to see in conventional note-taking software. The previous timeline ruler complemented this particularly well.
Please consider restoring the older Gantt-style timeline, or developing a new visual timeline that provides equivalent functionality alongside the current calendar view.
