Make PB's database accessable as a database back-end
Use PB data with Access, excel, project, base, etc.
This can’t be done because the database could be too easily corrupted. There is a lot of logic that must be adhered to that can’t be enforced with simple DB constraints. An alternative way of accomplishing access from other applications would be an API. (Vote for that instead if you feel so inclined…)

And integration with MySQL.

Have elsewhere suggested somewhat similar functionality by simply allowing thoughts to be dragged/dropped to other apps. Click on link to go to the thought. You now have immediate access to Brain and vice versa as needed. Solves major problem of where to save your data--just crosslink it. Save data where makes most sense. Ex: link Excel sheet to thought and drag another thought to a cell on sheet.

Hopefully that read-only could be a toggle. I've always felt that if PB is to become my primary data-store, then that data ought to be directly accessible by other applications in one way or another, otherwise one is duplicating data and keystrokes.

Would you need to make it a 'read only' kind of thing to protect integrity and all. I like the idea but seems like someone could do some real damage.
