  1. I have been testing out Cerebro on 15.0.86, and I do believe it is truly a game-changer. The regular brain AI is much less sophisticated and I have found it of limited use. Cerebro, on the other hand, will become a core part of my organizational routine especially as it gets better at searching (finding all relevant thoughts rather than a limited number, etc.).

  2. On 15.0.95.0 running on macOS Sierra desktop plex and notes zoom are missing. No pinch/expand; no Command + "+/-", no dropdown menu picks. If there is a way to control the size of text (other than overriding the screen resolution, which is generally unacceptable), please make it obvious.

    Thanks.

  3. I cannot figure out how to expand and collapse generations in 15.0.95. Has this functionality not migrated to later versions of TheBrain 15? This is a major gap if so.

  4. In v.14 this is standard performance so I can see if the related note is what I am looking for.
In v.15 you have to either open one result at the time to see the note content, or add all results to selection and then open them one by one.

  5. When I insert a link that points to a PDF, I'd like to direclty download into Brain/Thought pdf files instead of or in addition to link.
Actually it's possible download it to disk, as it happens in browser, and then attach to the thoughts.

And if I open a PDF from a thought and for example make some highlights or add some comments directly from TheBrain, when saving it has to direclty update in the thoughts, not to an external folder.

  6. TheBrain isn't my primary todo location but I find it extremely useful, and lets face it, easy, to add them directly into the thoughts they apply to. But then they are a bit lost for me when managing my day. I want to be able to access them via MCP or API's directly so I can have them as part of my overall task management system. That way Cerebro could also work with them as right now it can't help me even from inside the brain!

  7. I would like to have the possibility to open attachments with a choice of program, not just the standard program. For example, I want to be able to open pdf-files with Foxit Reader for standard viewing, with pdf24 for editing, with pdf-Arranger, with Drawboard to make annotations.
At the moment, one hast to open the folder containing the attachment and open the attachment with "Open with..." from there.

  8. THE OPPORTUNITY

TheBrain excels at what no other tool does: non-linear, associative thinking. The ability to model complex knowledge relationships — thoughts, links, webs of context — is genuinely irreplaceable. But when it comes to rich, freeform note-taking, especially on iPad, OneNote fills a gap TheBrain's current notes panel simply can't match. Handwritten annotation, stylus input, highlighting, visual page layouts — these make OneNote an irreplaceable capture tool for many of us.
The ask isn't for TheBrain to rebuild those capabilities from scratch. It's for a tighter coupling — so users can bring the best of both worlds into one…

  9. It would be great if Selected thoughts will include Tags and Type to the "copy text Outline with notes" command.

This will helps me e.g. to get a quick excel sheet via Claude Code, with all selected Thoughts in a nice overview, wich I can use for a meeting as an overview.

  10. Please make it possible to zoom out the Plex, so all Thoughts are visible like "dots" and when I hover over a dot, the thought zooms bigger including the connected Thoughts.
Ideally with the Type and Tags -> like a simple "mouse over effect" that would be great.
Maybe this doesn’t add that much to the use of The Brain, but it would have a visual impact on users of The Brain.
At the moment I solve this with copying the selected thoughts als outline and let Claude Code build a Zoom Cloud Graph.
See the image as an example…

  11. I would like to request a new feature for the Icon of Thought in the edit section of the software: the ability to adjust or align the image preview.

Currently, the icon often displays the image incorrectly, which is difficult for me due to my OCD. As shown in the attached image, the preview of the girl is incorrectly focused on her chest instead of showing her face, which is the intended subject. Allowing us to precisely adjust the icon's crop or alignment would resolve this issue and greatly improve the editing workflow.

  13. When using the Redo function in the AI assitant of the notes editor it would be helpful to have access to the last prompt entered. Often a Redo implies a change or refinement of the last prompt. Currently one has to reenter the complete previous prompt (and to remember the exact previous wording).

  14. I'd like to be able to create a new orphan thought from an entry in brain box rather than adding it as a child to something else and then having to unlink it.

  16. Virtually all of the major notetaking apps, and also a number of apps in beta allow information to seamlessly pass between Readwise and the notetaking app itself. It's an automatic transition. It would be incredible if could use this into the brain.

  17. To keep up with something that is out there, and where The Brain could leap forward into a new paradigm.

Create a "Skill Tree" view, which resembles skill trees that can be built in video games.

Add some graphics options such as thought shapes and zero text options.

We already have the option to modify the plex to have interesting backgrounds, so that isn't needed.

Being able to toggle text on and off, replacing it with an image. If you had the ability to use .png files for the images, then you could actually end up with very dynamic looking…

  18. In addition to the essential Two Factor Authentication capability implemented, we should have management of Brain installations available from account settings. This particular admin capability should also specifically require 2FA to open and then allow remote management / remote delete of brains / remote un-installation etc.

The use-case example is installing TheBrain on additional devices for use with online or local brains but in case of loss of tablet or a device, TheBrain should be able to be managed remotely from the user account so that should TheBrain be opened by a third party on a lost device, the software…

  20. The iOS To Do List doesn't presently allow sorting by Name or Date Modified like the Mac/Windows version of the To Do List does. It's not even clear what sorting logic the iOS list is currently using ... it seems to put modified thoughts at the bottom, but there are confusing inconsistencies. At the very least, it seems like the iOS To Do List should be sorted by Date Modified by default (with To Dos from the last modified notes at the top).

Better still would be to allow for a user-controlled sorting choice, either by Name or Date Modified.
