1. Create an integration with IFTTT/Zapier to allow for automated workflows

   Custom Actions such as to create a throught, maybe in a particular place or with a particular parent throught (by ID if needed) as I'm sure not all throughts would be available in a drop down.

2. BrainBox full text capture local-only (not via WebBrain)

   I use the BrainBox Safari and Chrome extensions a lot on macOS. In TheBrain 15 BrainBox is working better than ever. But, I rarely use WebBrain. To get a full-text capture (not just the URL) I have to (1) create a new thought on the desktop Brain, (2) wait for a sync, (3) wait for WebBrain to sync, (4) capture the page with the BrainBox extension, (5) from the BrainBox dialog in the broswer select the full text capture option, (6) select the thought I want the capture to be a child of (and hope that the indexing is finished), (7) add the BrainBox capture as a child, (8) go back to The Brain on the desktop and wait for the sync.

   This is eight steps that should be two steps if we could do a full-text capture to a thought directly on the desktop from the broswer to TheBrain 15.

   Again, I am not looking for links captured, and I am not looking to create PDF attachments, I want the very usefu full-text capture that BrainBox provides, but without all the work to get the thought back onto the desktop app.

3. New Calendar Function

   I would actually like to plot out when I created thoughts. It would be a different perspective on my thought creations. I don't need it to connect to an actual calendar item like Google Calendar, I just want to see a dot on a timeline that shows me what thoughts I created on a specific date.

   That way, if I know I was working on a project back in April, I can slide the slider to April, then see a set of dots for each thought I created in April. Have it zoom into the day, hour, minute or as granular as you think would be a good use of the code.

   I cannot find the setting to hide the parent thought in context-sensitive child thought names in TheBrain 15. I very much like that economical view and hope it can be added soon if it has not already been added.

6. Bring thebrain 14 timeline back

   To the TheBrain Team,

   Please restore the classic TheBrain 14 bottom timeline view (or provide an option to enable it in TheBrain 15). Many of us relied on that persistent timeline for fast, visual navigation of our work over time, and the current alternatives do not offer the same clarity or efficiency. Bringing this timeline back, even as an optional legacy view, would preserve long‑established workflows and significantly improve usability for long‑time users.

7. Watched Folder of Markdown Files

   Hi all, really excited about the new release. My request involves having a folder on the filesystem that is watched and any markdown files inside this folder are automatically added as children of the folder thought in TheBrain. Ideally, this would also support a kind of bi-directional sync or live view of the markdown files so no matter which tool they are worked on (e.g. TheBrain, markdown editors, etc) the thoughts in TheBrain contain (or can point to and display) the latest version of the file.

   I know this has been mentioned a few times in forums but doesn't seem to have taken off despite the interest, so I wanted to add another request as it would really eliminate one of the main points of friction for using TheBrain for my use case - which is indexing and adding TheBrain's additional layer of complexity for between-note linking onto my collection of markdown notes.

8. add print functionality to the mindmap view

   The 'workaround' of taking a screenshot and printing it is NOT suitable. I want to be able to natively print the mind map, several levels deep, on to A3 so it can be added to hardcopy report packs. To get all levels in a screen shot means zooming out, and then taking the screenshot, pasting it into something else and then scale it up to A3. This results in a really poor quality output.

9. Actionable Grid View (as alternative Plex view)

   As an alternate to the Plex (I don't see using both at same time) have a filterable list (think simple spreadsheet or grid) where you can filter and sort columns. Columns would be adjustable but at minimum Thought Name, Type, Tags, Create Date, Update Date, Attachment Exists. You would select on the grid and the note would be visible. The idea is you could mass update Tags and Types, or you could rapidly move through a list of notes.

11. add a "read-only" mode to the settings for on-line access.

    I want to be able to navigate my Brain in no-plex mode without instantly triggering the edit mode everytime I touch the screen. My only option is to log out of TB, which then means I can't see private thoughts etc.

12. iOS Widgets with Thought Note Content or List of Thoughts

    I'd love to see an iOS widget for TheBrain that displays the note content of a selected thought and another option to list the last x number of created, modified, or accessed thoughts. I'm only asking to show the data. Tapping on the note would bring you to the thought note in TheBrain, and tapping the thought name in the list option would open that thought.

    Apple Notes widgets are excellent examples of a thought note content widgets. I've attached an example of the Thought Note Content.

    Widgets enable background sync for the app on iOS, which could be an added benefit.

13. Better mouse hiding (temporary) when using the keyboard.

    I'm a primarily keyboard user. My mouse usage is very sparingly. (Keyboard navigation is much faster)

    One of my biggest complaints when using the option "update displayed content on mouse hover or keyboard highlight", is that the mouse location takes precedence.

    The issue is the thoughts content preview doesn't work as expected when navigating with the keyboard. If the mouse happens to already be in the area where another thought comes into during the reposition process after activating a thought, then that thought content is shown. Because the content preview is not the new positioned center thought, but the thought the mouse is on. i.e., a jump /child thought, I'll end up editing the wrong thought if I don't catch it.

    Suggest making the keyboard or the last input device the primary selector when determining the which target thought to present its content.

14. Allow a way to Explore (and favorite) Public Brains

    Like it was possible in the webbrain.com/explore apparently. Other the listed vs. Unlisted feature doesn't make much of a difference. And allow the search of Public Brains in the Desktop Client, as well as the ability to download them for offline use.

15. Dynamic link to MSOffice

    It would be very valuable to have a dynamic link capability between Thoughts and elements in MSOffice, especially Outlook. I am not talking about file links, but more like a direct interface so that a person in a Thought can be dynamically linked to their Contact in Office.

    When the sync icon moves it means that a sync of another brain is taking place. This will be adjusted to be less distracting in a future release.

17. Display current page # of attached PDF displayed and page count. Perhaps in the vertical slider or next to printer icon.

    Adding footnotes to exported reports/pdf. I understand that MATH functions of laytext work in the notes editor. Could latex functions like \footnote[N]{foot note text} and or \textit{italic text goes here} be added to the report export function. Love the note editor however it does not quite yet replace a word processor. Work around is to write in editors then cut and paste to laytxt.

    I would love to be able to search my TheBrain thoughts with the MacOS spotlight search and when clicking on a result to open it up in TheBrain. This would help my workflows tremendously. Please upvote.

    Need support for viewing and adding backlinks within the Android app. Such a feature is important within The Brain, so lack of Android support is puzzling.

20. Make note links color editable based on thought types etc.

    I have thought types for people, organizations, etc. It would be nice if, when I put links to those thoughts into notes, if I were able to adjust their link color based on their thought type.

    For example, if I set up People thoughts to be highlighted as green text color in Plex, I also want links to those thoughts in notes to be shown in green instead of the standard link color set up in the notes theme.

    In Obsidian, this is possible with a plugin called Supercharged Links ( https://github.com/mdelobelle/obsidian_supercharged_links ).
