Time to word-wrap the active thought
PB by design does everything on the horizontal, from thoughts to tools, including HTML notes in that odd wide screen. Now that we can move our tools to the sides, the horizontal dimension is crammed. PB should try to show the active thought in its entirety by word-wrapping it in a rounded rectangle, rather than truncating it. Just a more intensive use of center space.

Agreed. This is especially important since thought names need to be long in the webbrain if you want to optimize the webbrain search function.

Dys, there's no great need to change the display of child thought names in Normal View as they're typically in two columns and won't truncate unless overloaded. Parent names are brief. The crunch is at center, where truncated Active, Sibling, and Jump thoughts share a single plane. That's where PB should seek opportunities to wrap rather than truncate. Wrapping Active in fact frees sibling width.

I've just noticed that one of PB's hints suggests using a narrower font for thoughts to fit more in the plex. Not a bad idea.

But this would solve the ugly problem that when a thought is truncated and its tooltip pops up displaying the full name (when mouse hovers over thought), any associated file icons jump out of the way and assume a false position. You have to click where they *were*, not where they are. Good luck with this suggestion - it's badly needed.

I agree this looks better, particularly with comma-trick names, and is how mind mapping and flow chart programs display topics. The only problem is that where one thought has a large number of children, this would disturb horizontal alignment of child thought names. I presume your suggestion applies to Normal View. How would you resolve this?
