Traditional Table View and more
While we are using personalbrain in a inter-connected way, sometimes we need a traditional table view. Here I recommend a view object to be connected to Thoughts, when one of the Thought is activated, the corresponding view shows in another layer of Plex. The views can be timeline, flowchart, table, Logic, positions in a image, even another part of the same brain(another plex) and more. The final aim is to make good use of various kinds of views to present knowledge stored in a brain.
This is a common issue I have: tables that I would like to copy paste in TB and thoughts/parents/children that I would need to paste in a table.
+ Please put this feature on a very high priority, I am very much looking forward to it!
+3 !!! Please deliver this amazing feature asap!!!
Oh what a great and invaluable feature! Sorry to check this not became real in the application yet (time counter indicate that this request has about 3 years)... You guys should do this as soon as possible! The Brain would have even its data uses very amplified!
It could be built into a brain full engine or integrating an external data base/interface like Ms-Excel, Ms-Access, etc.
This is a very valuable suggestion IMO and should be given priority. For additional discussion, see http://thebrain.websitetoolbox.com/post?id=3675943
Sorry for the late reply.
I just posted a new thread here: http://forums.thebrain.com/tool/post/thebrain/vpost?id=3407318
I think I understand what you're getting at, but can you please give us a more exact idea by posting a thread about it in the Feature Suggestions section of the forum, with a pic (diagram) and post a link here in UserVoice back to it?
Yes ! I had the same idea. It would be sometimes easier to look at the children thoughts in a multi column sheet instead of a tree. And, of course, it should be possible to print it !
One possible solution is if PersonalBrain allowed drag and drop linking of thoughts into another apps. In that way you could for example link a thought to an Excel sheet and from an Excel cell link directly back to another thought. It solves the real problem of the difficulty of importing info maintained in other apps. Keep your excel sheet and selectively link into PersonalBrain as needed.
This is certainly an interesting concept. I'm going to keep my eye on this one to see if it goes anywhere. I'm all out of votes right now.
very interesting. Could imagine a multi column view like in Media Monkey for simultaneous view of children, parents, jumps, maybe tags, types
