1. Save To Do Filters.

   A way to save the To Do's filters such as saving themes, ai scripts etc.
   ie: by type and/or tag. Project Type, Priority Tag, Person Tag etc. Problem to have to re-select all types/tags every time you need to focus on pending tasks of follow ups on a project.

3. Add the Ability to Pin the Note Preview

   Currently we have the ability to preview the notes by mousing over the note icon on thoughts.
   This request is to add the ability to pin or make permanent on drag.
   Example usage, I want to compare two or three notes:
   I mouseover the note I want first, drag and the note preview becomes a window that has to be closed (normal window buttons appear on the top right). I do this to other notes and compare them.

5. FR - Inline Unlinked Mentions with Colour Settings

   I am new to this group/ app so hopefully I am submitting this correctly. So far I am loving the ability for this app to customize so many things. To that end....

   When we are viewing an Unlinked Mention in the Content/ Note area the Unlinked Mention shows up with a dotted underline. I would like to be able to make this pop up more so that it will grab my attention a little more. Would love to have a setting that would let us change the colour on the Inline Unlinked Mentions dotted underline. Similar to how we can customize the headers for the content/ note

6. Sharepoint - file or hyperlink drag and drop

   We use Microsoft's SharePoint for our business file platform. Very frequently, I'd like to drag a file - or hyperlink - directly into a Thought Note (or as a related Thought).

   See attached video...despite looking hopeful (TB 15.0.586 and previous versions) by recognizing a drag/drop is in progress, nothing gets processed in TB.

   Currently, I either copy the hyperlink and manually paste the hyperlink or download the file to C: and then move it into TB (I usually want the file not the hyperlink, but sometimes I compromise with the hyperlink because it's faster). My expectation is either the file - or more likely the hyperlink - would drag into TB directly. Of course, most ideally, one would like the option to do either, perhaps with a shift-drag for the hyperlink, standard drag for file...something like that.

   I understand the technical aspects are more complicated than a file on a local drive, but I'm wondering if there are plans for this to be supported - OR if you know of a facile workaround? I haven't tried, but maybe an AI script (seems overkill, but I'd consider it).

8. Adjusting settings: Layout spacing

   With v15, when I open settings from within a brain, it only remembers the "layout spacing" for that brain on the device on which it's loaded. This means I need to open every brain on every device and adjust the layout spacing which is tedious.

   An option to push layout spacing to all devices across all brains would be ideal.

9. Global ToDo List

   Since the launch of TheBrain 15, I’ve started using TheBrain differently, and I absolutely love the change.

   Historically, I maintained one large Brain rather than creating separate Brains for individual clients. The single-Brain approach was valuable for searching across everything, but its size sometimes made information difficult to find and navigate.

   With TheBrain 15, I now maintain a separate Brain for each client. When I’m working with a client, I can open that Brain and immediately have all the relevant information in front of me. It is a much cleaner and more effective way to work.

   My one significant challenge is managing to-dos. Because to-do activities are confined to an individual Brain, I cannot see all my outstanding tasks in one consolidated list where I can review and prioritize them across clients.

   TheBrain 15 already allows me to search across all my Brains for thoughts and files. It seems that the same cross-Brain capability could support a global to-do view. This would allow me to see, filter, and prioritize to-dos from every Brain in one place while each task remains associated with its original Brain.

   I believe this would make the multiple-Brain workflow substantially more useful. I hope you’ll consider adding it to a future release.

10. Spatial positioning of Thoughts in Outline view

    I would love to have the ability to temporarily position Thoughts freely within the Outline view, almost like sticky notes on a canvas.

    The relationships between the Thoughts would remain unchanged—a Thought would still be a child, parent, sibling, or jump Thought—but its visual position could be changed independently. For example, I could place a central Thought in the middle and arrange related Thoughts around it in a circle, creating something like a constellation or solar system of Thoughts.

    This would add a spatial layer to thinking. Thoughts placed close together could represent a strong connection or relevance, while Thoughts positioned farther away could indicate conceptual distance. Even when the formal relationships are identical, their placement could show that I see some Thoughts as more central to the subject than others.

    It would be especially valuable during brainstorming sessions, discussions, workshops, and when exploring a topic from multiple perspectives. Instead of only reading Thoughts as a hierarchy or linear outline, you could temporarily organize them spatially to see patterns, clusters, distance, and different viewpoints.

    A “Reset layout” button could return all Thoughts to their normal Outline positions at any time. This means the spatial arrangement would not alter the actual structure of the Brain—it would simply provide a temporary, flexible way to think with and arrange existing Thoughts.

    In short: the relationships define how Thoughts are connected, while their temporary spatial position helps express how they relate conceptually within a particular discussion or train of thought.

11. Settable pdf view zoom default value to other than 100% settable value like 125%, and center visible text in view window.

    PDF view Preference setting zoom default to settable value other than 100% perhaps 125%, also center visible text in view window. Save multiple zoom and center clicks, makes better use of screen and reduce eye strain.

12. Meeting transcription

    I'd like to request native audio recording and transcription for meetings directly within TheBrain.

    The need: I'm transitioning from Tana to TheBrain, and one feature I rely on heavily is the ability to record a meeting and have it automatically transcribed — without needing a separate app. This keeps meeting notes tied directly to my workflow instead of living in a disconnected tool.

    What I'm asking for:
    - A record button within a Thought (or a dedicated "Meeting" note type) that captures audio live
    - Automatic transcription of that recording, attached to the same Thought
    - Ideally, the transcript text becomes searchable and linkable, so I can connect key moments in the transcript to other Thoughts in my Brain

    Why it matters for TheBrain specifically: TheBrain's whole value is contextual linking. A meeting transcript that's just a flat text file is far less useful than one that's a first-class Thought — connected to the people, projects, and decisions it relates to. Native transcription would let meetings become part of the actual knowledge graph instead of sitting outside it.

    Comparable feature: Tana currently offers this — record and auto-transcribe within the app, with the resulting text becoming structured, linkable nodes.

14. Implement Ctrl-F/Cmd-F in the Embed thought.

    Feature request: Ctrl-F/Cmd-F search currently doesn't reach the note content of embedded Thoughts. Since Embed is a new feature, could search indexing be extended to include embedded Thought notes? Right now a Thought's content becomes invisible to search once it's embedded inside another Thought, which is easy to miss when relying on Cmd-F to relocate something.

15. option to use 24-hour formats in Timeline and Reminders!

    Please add a setting that allows users to display times in the Timeline and Reminders using the 24-hour format, e.g. 13:00 instead of 1:00 PM.
    The existing custom date/time format for notes does not affect the Timeline or Reminders. Ideally, this should follow the user’s regional settings or be configurable independently.

16. add a Callout to identify People (e.g., speakers/presenters, meeting attendees)

    LOVE the new Callout feature! I regularly have thoughts to capture meeting notes or notes from presentations. It would be useful and nice to have a callout with an icon of a person (?) to capture the names of speakers or meeting attendees. This would be a way to highlight and keep them separate from the base notes.

    Recent versions of TheBrain have added customizable fonts for many parts of the app, but this doesn't yet include the monospace font used for inline code and code editors nor the modal Mermaid source editor.

18. Bring back search terms staying in the search form after search performed.

    Before this latest update (15.0.640.0), in the plex when adding a linked thought, the search term used was kept after the search was completed. In this update, that functionality was removed. I would like it back.

19. Clone (Mirror) attachments within a Brain

    I only see this in Workflowy and for me and many of my colleagues it works extremely well. I do hope my "burning the midnight oil" doesn't make this idea seem totally silly. Oh boy!

20. Detector for broken links to external files

    This is an old idea/request: Please make it possible to generate a report for thoughts with links to external files that do not exist at that location any more.
    This is a must have for me.
    Also a report for broken URL attachments would be nice.
    I guess, the process of generating this report would be slow, but it would be worth the wait.
