  1. Add note content during thought creation

    TheBrain already has the feature of add a label during thought creation. It is hoped that a feature of adding note content during thought creation can be added. It is recommended to use a colon as the delimiter, which not only conforms to users' intuition but also facilitates pasting relevant content from web pages, PDFs or other texts, reducing some text processing work.

  2. Add label using subsequent parenthesis of thought name during thought creation

    Currently, adding parentheses around the first part of a thought name will cause that part to be skipped for sorting purposes, while subsequent parentheses will be ignored. It is recommended to use subsequent parentheses as symbols for adding thought tags, which better aligns with users' habits of adding labels and facilitates users in quickly adding thoughts and labels from copied and pasted text.

  3. Enable Single-Key Activation for event change Popup Menu Choices Body:

    I’d like to suggest an enhancement that would significantly improve workflow efficiency and keyboard accessibility.
    When modifying an event and dismissing the properties popup, a contextual menu appears with four choices: Cancel, Only this, All the following, and All in the series. Currently, these options require mouse interaction or multi-step keyboard navigation.
    It would be incredibly helpful if each option could be activated with a single keystroke—specifically c, o, a, and s—corresponding to the first letter of each item. This lightweight mnemonic-style activation would eliminate the need to switch between mouse and keyboard, making it easier to stay in flow…

  5. Hide thought types on iOS

    It would be super helpful if there were an option to hide thought types in the plex on iOS. Occasionally I accidentally tap on a thought type and it causes the app to hang for 10+ minutes if the type is used frequently.

  6. Be able to toggle on/off or hide labels in the web browser

    It would be nice to be able to have a switch in settings to toggle on/off labels in the web browser as scrolling over the Thoughts in the browser with labels popping up can be distracting and overwhelming visually.

  7. set background color of note text from keyboard

    Color coding text and text backgrounds is important to my work. Allow me to type a keyboard sequence to set the background color or text color in the note editor such as: command-shift-B-2-3-return to set background color to the light orange background appearing at column 3 and row 2 of the color picker. This will allow me to quickly learn and use a common set of sequences for the colors I use most often.   8. selection and working with text with certain styling attributes

    While in the note editor on desktop and iPad, allow us to use a selective filter that can select OR filter text with certain attributes such as:

    • All text in the note that has any background color
    • or a certain background color or set of background colors
    • optionally bolded, or italicized or a certain heading level or other style attribute

    Once this has been filtered, allow us to create a thought attached to the current thought (child, parent or jump) with the filtered text as the new thought's note including the source text's style attributes intact. The filtered text can…

  9. Clone (Mirror) attachments within a Brain

    I only see this in Workflowy and for me and many of my colleagues it works extremely well. I do hope my "burning the midnight oil" doesn't make this idea seem totally silly. Oh boy!
