Multi-level tags
Currently, tags are only differentiated by the name of the tag, there is no heirarchy or classification of tags. If at least two levels of tags were available, lots of functionality becomes available. For example, you could have a tag type of 'Release date', and then have the tag specify a date. You could in this way also implement what some have asked for in the 'Timeline' request(s). This is just one example of the possibilities.
Multi-level tags were added as part of TheBrain 10 along with many other tag and type improvements.

Tag groups would be immensely helpful, allowing quick access to specific tags applicable to a thought type!

Having structured tags makes a lot of sense, I'd use this feature.
I think generally tags need some extra smarts (like tag hierarchy)

Please - I intensely need this as I said here: http://forums.thebrain.com/post?id=5580801 (I'm wordmuse in that forum)
Not really trying to duplicate the message, but seeing as there are different (more?) players here, thought I'd chime in on this one.

This would also allow me to create some mechanism of having (manual) workflows for thoughts.
For instance in would have a tag supertype called ‘action’ with e.g. tag-types: to do, done, cancelled, delegated
Another example would be a tag supertype called ‘info block’ with e.g. tag-types : to read, read, to summarize, to memorize, etc.
Hope to see this feature one day implemented.
