Link to PB with thought URL in another application
I'd like to be able to link to PB from a thought URL in another application. In other words, I'd like to drop a thought URL into a Word doc or a OneNote note and then click on it to open PB at that thought.
This is now working in TheBrain 9.

Yes, it 'almost works' in v 8.0.1.2 as well - same problem as previously mentioned though... a new copy of TheBrain is launched even when another one is already running. Also, there is a significant delay and the startup screen is displayed unnecessarily.

In v 7.0.4.5 on Windows it almost works... However, a new copy of TheBrain is launched even when anotherone is already running. Also, the startup screen is displayed unnecessarily.

Yes, please do. It can't be that hard to do, as I've noted before in the forums. Evernote manages to do this just fine in Windoze or Mac. And Evernote is open source so maybe you can crib from them how they did it.

Please bring this feature to the mac. That would be wonderful!

+1 for this on Mac. This functionality I'm using in Evernote and would allow me to migrate over to PB if it were available. It is critical for my GTD workflow as I can post my todo's on my OSX calendar with the linking URL.

Yes, you are correct, it works in Windows. I finally figured out how to do it and it's so simple I feel silly. However, it would be nice if the user's guide was a bit more helpful on this issue.
In PB, copy the thought URL. In the external application, create a hyperlink and past the copied thought URL into the hyperlink field, and then name the hyperlink whatever you want to name it.

I think this works in Windows but not in OS X... Please bring it to OS X!
