PersonalBrain on iPad
See the video -- enough said!!!
TheBrain for iOS is out now worldwide. It features separate native UIs designed for iPad and iPhone. Thanks everyone for your patience.
One of the biggest draw backs with this software is that it is no compatible with the latest on the go devices. Meaning the your brain is only effective at home in front of your computer. The defect the object of trying to make your brain more effective.
I am in a similar situation than George... after using the free version for a number of months I felt the need to either upgrade or using a different software. The availability of an iPad companion version would have been a definitive plus to consider, but the lack of it eventually made me to decide the use of a different mind mapping software.
You have taken too long. I am now using other apps on my iPad and Mac. Without even saying one is in the works, shows how much you care about customers...very little. My company has uninstalled PB completely. No vision.
i sent an email to the brain a day after thhe ipad 1 was announced and suggested this would be the most perfect fitting app for the ipad, so that has been over 39 months. i know the graphics for the brain is not as intensive as infinity blade or sky walk or real racing 3d or the tons of other graphics intensive games available. most of the workis in the algorithms used for indexing and linking the data. but just about any computer can do those kind of algorithms with one cpu tied behind their back. my ipad has 64 GB of storage so it should be able to handle lots of files and brain info. but that should be up to the user as to how big a brain they want and not a reson for not producing a native ipad app. just think about all the amazing apps out there from flight simulators like x-plane to infinity blade and all these apps came to the ipad many months ago, so i think they have had plenty of time. the simple reason it is not available, they dont want to. i dropped my professional brain at 5.0 and refused to continue purchasing it because of this.
19 Months on and still no sign or news. Sorry all your credibility has gone and I can wait no longer. I have been using Evernote along with TheBrain but since your keeping so quite I doubt your anywhere near releasing it. Time to move on.
the iPad is not a limited device. smaller yes but not limited. there are all kinds of complicated apps and games that can run on the ipad and they are more graphics intensive and complicated than personal brain. the ipad uses the same underlying libraries just about that mac osx uses, just a few small differences.
I can't see how the intricacies of PB can be replicated on a limited device like iPad. I wouldn't want t see PB dumbed down in an effort to make it more suitable for ARM platform, as it happened with EverNote. Still, it would be good if it can be achieved.

I want my personal brain ipad app! Wah!

I have not purchased TheBrain product yet, after serious consideration. I am a researcher and have no need for all outlook integration options etc.
However, I do use iPad very heavily while performing literature reviews. PersonalBrain is the only software capable of reflecting the complexity of data I gather.
I will purchase PersonalBrain AS SOON as it hits the app store. No later than that.

It's self-evident, TheBrain should be on iPad asap.

I just upgraded to PB ver7, so I'm committed to the vast amount of time, energy and expense to build my PB database. But, I've just got my first iPad and have to say it has changed the way I work. To move on and maintain a faithful following all apps will have to become mobile (tablet and phone) compatible. No one will want to move beyond PB for the reasons I've mentioned above, but will be forced to due to the nature of technology and where it is allowing us to go.
Me too, I just loved the TheBrain. But since I own an iPad, it became my 'personal assistant'. I would really like to see this app soon. But for now I am moving to evernote too.
A definite! I can't even see how an iPhone app for the Brain could beat out an iPad or tablette version. You can't see much of a plex or thoughts (they'd have to be in a list). An iPhone version would only serve to add or delete quick thoughts/notes, not really be a functional Brain similar to on the PC, but a tablette version, now there we are finally moving into a 3D-ish, tactile world for the Brain!
Tablet support is vital today - taking laptops with you in business is not feasable anymore.
But, it should work without forcing central server usage. And that's the problem with evernote, when privacy matters: They force to use their servers to sync.
But it should be more professional and userfriendly:
1. Work directly
2. Optional: Work with OWN serverinfrastructure
3. Optional: Work with TheBrain's server infrastructure.
Harlan, I understand you want to sell your onlineservices - but no, not acceptable, as I want my compnies data to be on my server controlled by me and not on any one elses.

I have used PB for 3-4 years. And loved it and recommended it and touted its praises hither and yon. But due to the lack of syncing iPhone/iPad apps, I'm moving everything into EverNote. If the "Notes" section of your thoughts is what is most important, then EverNote is great. And it syncs beautifully between devices. And I can selectively share thoughts/notes with other users. Sorry, Brain. I will miss you.
There is no other way to go. I really like what i see in the product, but cannot see the full value if i cannot use it on iPad.

I use PB for Presentations and now also my iPad wirelessly with Apple TV. I need the best of both my worlds to merge. i want all my votes here.

Ipad app is critical to be competitive ....
Michael Bitler commented
Seriously?!? An iPad app is critical, and is difficult to commit to software like this that is not integrated between desktop and iPad. I looked at IThoughts
HD, but does it integrate with Personal Brain? If not, should I look elsewhere for mind mapping software?

Throwingmy voice to the chorus or pleas to have a genuine personalbrain ipad app. Have been holding off on a license purchase mainly because I needed something that will enable me to edit a brain while on the road.
