Allow note clipping like EverNote directly into plex
Highlighted text from eMail, Web page, document would be clipped into and added into the plex as a special edit area or active thought.

Like Diigo and Wrike's extensions for chrome or just sync with them and leverage their's

Or just sync with Evernote. Maybe through CloudHQ

For me it could work in two ways 1) Allow note clipping like Evernote, or 2) Or the ability for Evernote to create thoughs in the brain.

My process now is to web clip items into Evernote which acts as my main KM database. When I organize my thoughts, I use TheBrain and will drag and drop selected items from EN into the plex. While it works, it is a linear to non-linear system approach. Sometimes I would prefer to stay totally on the non-linear side which a TheBrain webclipper would enable.

Zengobi's Curio has an interesting way of making Evernote notes an available asset for the project. Also, if there was some form of Evernote integration, the request for emailing directly into the Brain would be at least partially satisfied.

+1
but do not use extensions or other junk addins for clipping. The cleaner why would be a dedicated shortcut (like in Ultrarecall) or a input point that stays over the top (with PB open in the background), like in aml pages application. -

Alternatively, provide the ability to drag a link to an Evernote entry into the plex. That would allow PB to be used as an alternative front end for Evernote content without having to add clipping ability to PB. I use PB and Evernote in tandem, and would much rather use them together as an integrated information management system.

Just displaying the selected item title in Personal Brain title bar (caption) would allow to attach thoughts to notes using Notezilla. This is an easy implementation that I requested a long time ago. Notezilla allows to attach notes to any document, website, program or window. The notes spawn when certain keyword is present in the the title of a window. In addition, Notezilla is able to synchronize notes with Outlook.

Please look at Scrapbook extension (Plus) for Firefox. This would be the most useful feature to the Brain IMHO. It would be great to copy & paste part or complete web page & save it to the brain. Right now, you have to drag the page into the Brain. However, if the page is no longer there, then you're out of luck. However, you can copy and paste something into the notes. It really slows everything down if anyone is doing a lot of research.

I see that first documented reaction is 2 years old. Wow. I would like to know if you were not able to add this features sooner does have any mean to vote for it? I know that capturing text and make a link is not hard to code so there is probably different problem. Anyway could you please write your statement?
Thank you Harlan Hugh. -

Worthy of all my votes! I really want to see this feature. I want to be able to COPY a web site address or any text and then send it to home or active thought or a special PB INBOX for later proper "filing". This would be huge. Currently, transparent mode in PB6 is good but still interrupts current work. I use Windows.

Would love this feature and would cut my work in half.. I agree that this would be something which would bring many people on board to using PB

Another 'this is a must' post.
I would like this very much as it makes it easy to add thoughts to PB. Understanding how it works is not enough. Try Evernote to experience it .. it works like a charm and rocks. -

definitely this is a must. For fast and productive collect of thoughts this feature is very handy. Honestly I hope we'll be happy to enjoy this feature very soon

i currently am using onenote and evernote, in addition to PB. trying to see which will be most efficient for information gathering/retrieval. or combination of them. i would like to be able to "send to PB" as a right click menu item from most any program. being able to pick a thought to add new items to, when saving, would be important; so some PB facility would have to be part of the "send to" feature.

This is a key feature missing from PersonalBrain. It is a swing feature that will bring OneNote and EverNote users over to PersonalBrain.

I think this is a must as well. A lot of reference data management software allows you to drag clippings of text and images into notes.
Personal Brain's note's editor needs an upgrade!

I've used the EverNote clipper, and think that a similar tool for PB would be very useful and timesaving. The Notes tab also needs to be fixed so that it properly displays the clipped page. Have a look at how Firefox pages look like in OneNote or EverNote after they are pasted in, and then have a look at how web pages look like after pasting into the Note tab of PB.

In my opinion this is the only "must-have" feature that is missing. As soon as it is added I will purchase Personal Brain until then I will keep looking...
