  6. Could it be possible to add a scenario to the wander session so it is guided by a scenario instead of being random? Now the question remains, what are scenario's?

event driven - walk through all events chronologically
history driven - wander through the last X created thoughts sequentially

selection driven - wander through the selection buffer

tag driven - wander based on thoughts with the same tag
type driven - wander based on thoughts of a similar type
One should be able to save these scenario's or scripts?
    Timing of the scripts/scenario's

This idea was triggered by James Burke…

  10. What about the ability to form a group of nodes to some kind of section or "cloud"? This would be great to make a distinction between different nodes that is seen visually. Like, I'm researching the works of an author and form a cloud with all the nodes that's linked to him. And in that cloud I make another one with on of his books and then another one in that cloud with the characters in his books, another one with the places, etc. This would would be great to make it more structured, and somehow see directly which part…

  11. When a parent has many child-thoughts, they are always displayed in the right column starting with the first one. I'd like to suggest to scroll that display so that the closest siblings of the current thought were visible. (You probable are more interested in the close siblings than in the distant ones).

    More + screenshot at: http://forums.thebrain.com/tool/post/thebrain/vpost?id=2309420

Presumably a small step for a developer, but a huge step for the users :)

  13. It would be nice to be able to define types of nodes with associated properties. For example, maybe an "event" type node with properties such as "name of event", date, duration, etc.  I could also envision a "person" type node with name, birth place, birth date, etc.  Yet another example could be a "research" type node with the name of the research paper, lead author's name, university affiliation, date published, names of other collaborators.

An example of a structured node that is buried in the text is at http://forums.thebrain.com/tool/post/thebrain/vpost?id=2733306

I imagine that the structured data structures would be relational and…

  14. I work with medical data that has its own structure which does not lend itself to the current sorting features. If the other features of the current release were not so compelling in other areas I'd be back to good old PB3 in a flash for that feature alone. I'm begging here! ;-}

  15. Could we have the tag properties shown in the tag list.
A simple tick mark to show wheter or not the tag is shown on the plex.
And a simple color box to show the color if one has been chosen.

I just wanted to say I don't really like care for the way that thought type selection is divided up into multiple sub menus. Not a very clean design in my opinion.

Why can't the list of thought types be more like the instant search list with a scroll bar?
