    I would like to see transclusion of notes added to TheBrain. i.e., the process of referencing one thought "A" from another thought "B" such that the content of "A" appears to be a part of "B".

    Please enhance the notes editor to allow the creation and editing of graphical notes, such as handwritten text or sketches using a stylus.

    It would be fantastic to implement functionality similar to tools like Nebo or OneNote, which enable seamless integration of handwritten notes and drawings. This would significantly enhance the usability and versatility of TheBrain, especially for users who prefer working visually or using a pen (e.g., Wacom Pencil) on tablets.

  3. Add Timeline feature to Web Brain

    I have developed an extensive timeline of events tied to thoughts in my webbrain. I have no way to show external users that timeline on the web version of the brain. It would be nice to add for future releases the ability show the timeline view in the Web brain.

  4. Have a Markdown Template to Format Notes and Avoid Typing the Same Phrases

    Have, in the note content editing area, a tool that allows us to use Markdown structure templates. Today, we can do this by tinkering a bit and using third-party files or external tools. For example, I use the third-party tool Lepton.

    Ideally, this function should be integrated into TheBrain tool to save time and increase efficiency.

    For example, I would like to quickly call up the following note structures:
    - Footer note template (link to similar topics, update date, and copyright)
    - Meeting note template (date, location, subject, participants, summary, and actions...)
    - Contact note template
    - Book note template…

  5. Advanced search - find thoughts that mention a specific phrase in note

    I want to find thoughts that mention a specific word or phrase.

    All search tools use a special operator for this: quotation marks, but not TheBrain Desktop and Vulcan. Actually, put quotation marks around any word or phrase, such as ["advanced search"], will show all throught that contain any words in phrase.

    Putting a search query in quote finds exact matches of the phrase and shows them first. Additional matches that contain all the words in the phrase are also shown. Given that, is the goal of request to eliminate these "extra" results?

  6. A Better way to Segment Brains

    By allowing Cutting and Pasting and maintaining links to other brains, which otherwise would require a huge manual effort and the risk of potentially loose data or at least have a lot of duplication.

    Alternatively a way to sync sections between brains could be an option.

  7. Integration with Pocket (especially if Zapier/IFTTT isn't possible) to sync thoughts with tags or something similar to allow for new content

  10. Customization on what is or isn't omitted in child thoughts

    For example I use ISO format for dates, so 2025, 4 for april, and 2025, 4, 4, as a child thought would be the 4th of April, but that would look different then the 3rd which would look right as only "3", the fourth would be "4, 4"

  11. Create an integration with IFTTT/Zapier to allow for automated workflows

    Custom Actions such as to create a throught, maybe in a particular place or with a particular parent throught (by ID if needed) as I'm sure not all throughts would be available in a drop down.

  12. Allow a way to Explore (and favorite) Public Brains

    Like it was possible in the webbrain.com/explore apparently. Other the listed vs. Unlisted feature doesn't make much of a difference. And allow the search of Public Brains in the Desktop Client, as well as the ability to download them for offline use.

    Allow me as a user to host my own sync service that I can use for air-gapped networks. This would allow me to share my brain with my local devices that cannot directly reach the Internet.

  14. iOS To Do List Sorting/Filtering

    The iOS To Do List doesn't presently allow sorting by Name or Date Modified like the Mac/Windows version of the To Do List does. It's not even clear what sorting logic the iOS list is currently using ... it seems to put modified thoughts at the bottom, but there are confusing inconsistencies. At the very least, it seems like the iOS To Do List should be sorted by Date Modified by default (with To Dos from the last modified notes at the top).

    Better still would be to allow for a user-controlled sorting choice, either by Name or Date Modified.

  15. I would like to use an AI tool like perplexity or even internal Brain AI to search all thoughts and attachments

    Right now the Brain ai tools go to the web to get their results. I would like to use all the information I have in my brains as the data source instead or in conjunction with the WWW. So this search could be from within the brain or via an external ai tool like perplexity

  17. Filter a view that would show only pending to do items.

    Filter a view to show all pending (or checked) to-do items. Currently, the right-panel tells me how many pending to dos there are, but then shows all items, pending and checked. I'd like to see only pending. Or, I'd like to see only checked.

  19. Allow assigning preset templates to Thoughts

    Have the ability to apply a template to an existing thought, or at the time of creation.
    Thought Templates should allow setting:
    * Thought Type
    * Thought Tag
    * Standardised Notes text
    * Standardised Attachments
    * Date Incrementation in Thought Name or notes
    * Standardised link type (only applicable to link made at time of creation)

  20. Enable an OFF switch for the AI tool

    This is a personal thing for me and maybe other users may feel empathy for me. I do not at this time favour the inclusion of the AI function and would appreciate if a user off switch would be best for strange users such as I. Maybe to make it a usage preference. I wanted to say I often pause using TB since the inclusion of the AI function. Yes I do know I can use it or not, yet the exponential evolution of AI is unsettling to this older mind.
