  1. Virtually all of the major notetaking apps, and also a number of apps in beta allow information to seamlessly pass between Readwise and the notetaking app itself. It's an automatic transition. It would be incredible if could use this into the brain.

  2. Before the mobile app redesign, one could create a new child thought with the pencil in iPadOS by dragging from the handle down. Please restore this.

  3. After searching a note or PDF and matching some items, when clicking the next or previous match arrows, display the current match number next to the total matches count so that you can see where you are in the list of matches.

Display the matching item positions in the file as highlight lines on the scroll bar (and ideally allow clicking on a highlight line in the scrollbar to go to that match)

  4. On my iphone plex font is too small even extra large.
In previous version I could zoom to custom size now it is not available.
Please enable dynamic font sizing or make fonts larger.

  5. I would actually like to plot out when I created thoughts. It would be a different perspective on my thought creations. I don't need it to connect to an actual calendar item like Google Calendar, I just want to see a dot on a timeline that shows me what thoughts I created on a specific date.

That way, if I know I was working on a project back in April, I can slide the slider to April, then see a set of dots for each thought I created in April. Have it zoom into the day, hour, minute or as…

  6. I would love to see the following implimentation for the theBrain, for us multi-monitor folks;

The ability to navigate the Plex on one monitor(ie, left portrait monitor), while working on the subsequent notes for thoughts on a second monitor.

This method has proven very effective with implementations such as CAD or technical drawing software, by setting-up a menu on the left side of a multi-monitor grouping(commonly in portrait mode), while performing work in the central or right side monitor(typically in landscape mode).

That said, I think this could prove to be a very helpful feature with theBrain, in-that the plex…

  7. As a new user and owner of webs developed using TheBrain, I like the idea of having access via an API interface. While I don't necessarily have the skill to program in the API, just like I don't necessarily have the electrical qualifications to work on my house, I would like to hire one, the only problem here is if I give my Electrician the key to the house, he/she has the key to all my houses. This is not good. Is it possible to have an API key made that only allows you to work on one "house" and…

  8. As an alternate to the Plex (I don't see using both at same time) have a filterable list (think simple spreadsheet or grid) where you can filter and sort columns. Columns would be adjustable but at minimum Thought Name, Type, Tags, Create Date, Update Date, Attachment Exists. You would select on the grid and the note would be visible. The idea is you could mass update Tags and Types, or you could rapidly move through a list of notes.

    This is discussed here

  11. One click to link all thoughts in a note. This will also serve to reactivate dead links (which happens when you merge thoughts then delete forgotten).

  13. It would be helpful to add the usual "X" button for "Close Window" to the pop-up windows of the commands "Add Attachment/Add from Brainbox..." and "Add Attachmen/Add File from Template...". I know, one can use ESC, but having a "X" button for closing a window is an almost universal standard that everybody knows.

  14. I would like to be able to manually edit the html of notes from inside thebrain (and have it rendered in notes), to include styling and external scripts like Tabulator, which is a javascript library that is used to create dynamic interactive tables. I think adding a raw code html feature to notes would be awesome and allow us to customize our notes further!

  15. Need support for viewing and adding backlinks within the Android app. Such a feature is important within The Brain, so lack of Android support is puzzling.

  16. Please enable opening thought links in TheBrain app on iOS (and Android).

I use e.g. OmniFocus and DevonThink next to TheBrain. On MacOS I can post links to relevant thoughts into those tools and easily access the thoughts as needed.

However, instead of opening in TheBrain, on iOS these links do nothing. This limits cross-app workflows significantly on mobile

  17. Adding footnotes to exported reports/pdf. I understand that MATH functions of laytext work in the notes editor. Could latex functions like \footnote[N]{foot note text} and or \textit{italic text goes here} be added to the report export function. Love the note editor however it does not quite yet replace a word processor. Work around is to write in editors then cut and paste to laytxt.

  19. I frequently use the outline view mode in The Brain Software, as it significantly enhances my ability to organize and visualize information. However, I've noticed that when I share a Brain with others, the web browser version of The Brain currently lacks this feature.

I believe the outline view mode is a valuable tool that would greatly benefit users of the Cloud version as well. Is it possible to add this feature to the Cloud version of The Brain?

Your assistance with this request would be greatly appreciated, as it would improve the overall usability and sharing capabilities of The…

  20. I'd like to be able to create a new orphan thought from an entry in brain box rather than adding it as a child to something else and then having to unlink it.
