  1. I'm a primarily keyboard user. My mouse usage is very sparingly. (Keyboard navigation is much faster)

One of my biggest complaints when using the option "update displayed content on mouse hover or keyboard highlight", is that the mouse location takes precedence.

The issue is the thoughts content preview doesn't work as expected when navigating with the keyboard. If the mouse happens to already be in the area where another thought comes into during the reposition process after activating a thought, then that thought content is shown. Because the content preview is not the new positioned center thought, but the thought…

  2. I want to be able to navigate my Brain in no-plex mode without instantly triggering the edit mode everytime I touch the screen. My only option is to log out of TB, which then means I can't see private thoughts etc.

  3. Provide support for X Cards. https://developer.x.com/en/docs/x-for-websites/cards/overview/player-card

This would allow users to embed Brains or elements of brains perhaps, into posts on X.

With X Communities beginning to take off, this would make use of TheBrain as a value add to communities.

This would help on other communities too, like Skool.

  4. I have a lot of internal documents, many nodes and links. I would like to use some knowledge graph tools to sort and cluster things in ways that can be done with knowledge graphs.

  5. This is an old idea/request: Please make it possible to generate a report for thoughts with links to external files that do not exist at that location any more.
This is a must have for me.
Also a report for broken URL attachments would be nice.
I guess, the process of generating this report would be slow, but it would be worth the wait.

  6. I think adding BrainBox to the right click Context menu on web browsers would be a great and much needed improvement.

Often times I search and find a link I want to add to Brainbox, but don't want to open the URL. I'm well aware of drag and drop, but that does no good when you use apps in full screen, I'm also aware you can Alt+Tab to TheBrain while in full screen while dragging the link, but if you have a lot of apps open, this is not feasible.

Adding BrainBox to the apps area (See SingleFile) of the…

  7. Currently we have the ability to enter a custom prompt, but it's a manual process each time. It would be great to be able save my custom prompts as a template so they can be easily re-used.

  8. Like it was possible in the webbrain.com/explore apparently. Other the listed vs. Unlisted feature doesn't make much of a difference. And allow the search of Public Brains in the Desktop Client, as well as the ability to download them for offline use.

  9. Custom Actions such as to create a throught, maybe in a particular place or with a particular parent throught (by ID if needed) as I'm sure not all throughts would be available in a drop down.

  10. By allowing Cutting and Pasting and maintaining links to other brains, which otherwise would require a huge manual effort and the risk of potentially loose data or at least have a lot of duplication.

Alternatively a way to sync sections between brains could be an option.

  11. These days, many apps have a feature to customise the toolbar: change sequence of icons or remove and add them. (Originally I was going to ask for a button to breing up the Todo List, but I realise that might only help me - while they real benefit would come if we had an option to just tailor it to our needs)

(Ok, maybe you think there are options that need to be there and maybe you always want them to be in that sequence - then at least give as the option to control a "custom" portion of the…

  12. Custom Instructions are like standing instructions to the AI tool that apply to every prompt. OpenAI calls them Custom Instructions, you might use a different name like default or something. For me I would dictate a style of response and the use of bullets.

  13. I am not comfortable with the work flow of BrainBox. I suggest having two right click options (or left click options), one for Add to Brainbox and one for Select Parent thought. This allows the user to chose AT THE TIME OF ACTION, rather than having had to remember to set the setting on the last usage. I do not want Vulcan to open if possible, I would just want a search box, but understand if that can't happen. When using the Extension, I don't want to "be in The Brain", I want to be moving on to the next…

  15. Currently the only outlining features available in notes are
    1. Create structured or unstructured notes
    2. You can move a line up & down using keyboard shortcuts

    Assume My outline looks like
    This is Root
    -------Parent A
    ------------Child A1
    ------------Child A2
    ------------Child A3
    -------Parent B
    1. If I were to move Parent B up , the expected B should be
    This is Root
    ---------Parent B
    ---------Parent A
    -------------Child A1
    -------------Child A2
    -------------Child A3
But the behaviour in notes in

    This is Root
    ------Parent A
    ----------Child A1
    ----------Child A2
    ------Parent B
    ----------Child A3
    2. Same for Indenting & Outdenting of nodes…

  16. When using the Redo function in the AI assitant of the notes editor it would be helpful to have access to the last prompt entered. Often a Redo implies a change or refinement of the last prompt. Currently one has to reenter the complete previous prompt (and to remember the exact previous wording).

  17. I'd like to be able to create a new orphan thought from an entry in brain box rather than adding it as a child to something else and then having to unlink it.

  19. Virtually all of the major notetaking apps, and also a number of apps in beta allow information to seamlessly pass between Readwise and the notetaking app itself. It's an automatic transition. It would be incredible if could use this into the brain.

  20. To keep up with something that is out there, and where The Brain could leap forward into a new paradigm.

Create a "Skill Tree" view, which resembles skill trees that can be built in video games.

Add some graphics options such as thought shapes and zero text options.

We already have the option to modify the plex to have interesting backgrounds, so that isn't needed.

Being able to toggle text on and off, replacing it with an image. If you had the ability to use .png files for the images, then you could actually end up with very dynamic looking…
