3D view of the brain, visual neuronal structure
This will let me rotate my brains and see the more important ideas connected in a stellar clusters. The idea 'under work' will be bigger, closer and somehow activated. This is a basic neuronal visual structure.

http://www.syniumsoftware.com/macfamilytree/gallery.html does it right. Look at the Virtual Tree view. Unfortunately just made for Family Trees.

Perhaps looking something more like this too: How about an icon like this: http://www.google.com.au/imgres?q=neural+pathways&hl=en&client=safari&sa=X&rls=en&biw=1280&bih=664&tbm=isch&prmd=imvns&tbnid=2yqz5WyRwn7HIM:&imgrefurl=http://worldofweirdthings.com/2011/02/18/why-we-rule-the-land-of-the-blind-robots/&docid=1VKOoYRLfN2iZM&imgurl=http://worldofweirdthings.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/05/active_neuron_440.jpg&w=440&h=322&ei=CWryT6DCMqu4iAf_x6W-Aw&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=969&vpy=106&dur=2236&hovh=192&hovw=263&tx=173&ty=79&sig=112517979628002302830&page=2&tbnh=142&tbnw=262&start=20&ndsp=22&ved=1t:429,r:15,s:20,i:185?

This is the best suggestion I have seen so far. TheBrain should be able to really mimic the brain, with 1 neurone connected to an unlimited numbers of synapses. And then we would display the links which are relevant. And I would suggest the possibility of creating groups according to one or multiple factors, color-coded, like we can do in mind manager, and consider the group as one entity, able to create links with some others groups. Then we would be able to create a fractal structure. This would be great.

The jumps could be be the 3D depth component.

And maybe add gradient of colors in addition to different sizes to illustrate activity. Very good idea, but certainly very difficult to integrate in PB ...
