Email or text a Thought or Note into my Brain
I would love to be able to email and/or text a Thought or Note into my Brain while away from my PC. As one learns to use PB to manage one's creativity, tasks, "life," there may be times when an item comes up that belongs in the PB. I'd love to be able to email or text it in to my PB, even if it defaulted to a "holding Thought" of some sort.

In the world where I live, there are lots of apps that need lots of integration. Every little thing to make that easier helps.

Please.
As it's planned since Sept. 2011, might we get it in the next 4-5 years ?

Please make a chrome extension as part of this like the Wrike one or just sync with Wrike and leverage theirs.

But of course it would be better to mail into the brain directly with attachments ... So vote

I've managed this via Zapier (something like If This Then That): I added +thebrain to my gmail adress (so when your mailadress is me@gmail.com than you can mail to me+thebrain@gmail.com).
I made a filter in gmail for that adress and let gmail tag it with 'thebrain'.
In zapier i made a ZAP that searches in my gmail account for new items labeled 'thebrain' , then automaticly makes an event in a gmail calendar. Zapier can automaticly give that event the title/ subject of my mail, automaticly put the link to the gmail message in the description field of the calendar event and also automaticly put the complete mailmessage text in the event-description field of the gmail calenderitem.
Than syncing the calendar in thebrain brings the new mailed items in your calendar in thebrain.
The mailed events or always coming in on the day you mailed them. So you should just walk through them each day and link them to thoughts in thebrain..... -

this would work similarly to Mindjet's new@mindjetconnect.com - please be sure, like salesforce.com, to specify multiple email addresses.
I really like the idea of a "holding thought" or specifying with thought is your "inbox"

Does it include the ability to send URL's from your browser?
Many times I don't need to actual clip or particular page but a link to the info. -

Yes, I need this! I'd love to see browser plugins like Clearly and Clip to Evernote that work with The Brain.

This is one of my biggest needs... to be able to send stuff to my Brain from other applications via email. This often includes a link to an article, or a note, etc. The simplest implementation would be that PB would acquire an INBOX that such mailings could be stored until later linked to the appropriate Parent thought.

I agree. This is one of the reasons I started going towards Evenote instead of PB. I wish they would add this quickly.

Great that you're planning this! I'd love to have that, too. - Also, I'd love to be able to send a thought via email directly from PB!

Might be implemented by linking an email address/format to a dll that then feeds a drop-box thought to capture the inbound emails (either locally or sent out to a web service for webbrain insertion). Might be a bit tough for the local dll to deal with all the extra searching. A better idea might be to send the email to a dropbox (email address) and perform processing on the server to update the webbrain.
