  2. Since PB is a reference application you are likely to leave running in the background or relaunch many times during the day, i find it strange that PB doesn´t use the traybar - especially because PB takes some time to launch.

This would make the autorun on startup option much more useful since PB could just load in the background without actually oppening the brain file and throwing the main window at the user. The brain window is then oppened by clicking at the tray icon. From here it should also be possible to right click and choose a different…

  5. I'd like this information to the right of the thought names in the Report View:

Created - When Last Accessed - Though Type - Tags - Parent(s) - Link Type - Link Labels

  6. Could we have the tag properties shown in the tag list.
A simple tick mark to show wheter or not the tag is shown on the plex.
And a simple color box to show the color if one has been chosen.

  8. When the Beta version is downloaded (Apple version) it comes in with the same name as the current 4.5 version. This can be confusing especially if you want to run both versions. I think it would be 'beta' to set it up to allow both versions to run on the same computer, which can be done at the present so long as the files are not mixed, but with the Beta running under a different name or alternatively a different coloured banner (this is the PersonalBrian.app file). This applies both to the downloaded file name and to the running programme…

  9. What about the ability to form a group of nodes to some kind of section or "cloud"? This would be great to make a distinction between different nodes that is seen visually. Like, I'm researching the works of an author and form a cloud with all the nodes that's linked to him. And in that cloud I make another one with on of his books and then another one in that cloud with the characters in his books, another one with the places, etc. This would would be great to make it more structured, and somehow see directly which part…

  10. Idea is that you would be able to show either only past due, alternatively all future ones, or even show all done and to be done between a certain time frame from the past to the future by using time parameters.

  11. One example of where this would be useful is export to HTML. If everything is private by default then to user would have to manually select those items he want to make public via export. This way there is less chance of exporting thoughts you wanted to keep private as the all are private by default.

I just wanted to say I don't really like care for the way that thought type selection is divided up into multiple sub menus. Not a very clean design in my opinion.

Why can't the list of thought types be more like the instant search list with a scroll bar?

  13. Calendar dates for getting things done is of course a basic need. As we know life doesn't always go as planned! When something doesn't get done, there should be a paradigm for "slipping it" other than going in and editting a bunch of calendar items inside different thoughts. As a quick way of allowing users to manipulate these, consider a calendar view into many thoughts. Dependencies could even be drawn between these. Without dependencies, at least a view like this could make it easy to adjust dates "en masse" based on a good filter criteria

  15. When a parent has many child-thoughts, they are always displayed in the right column starting with the first one. I'd like to suggest to scroll that display so that the closest siblings of the current thought were visible. (You probable are more interested in the close siblings than in the distant ones).

    More + screenshot at: http://forums.thebrain.com/tool/post/thebrain/vpost?id=2309420

Presumably a small step for a developer, but a huge step for the users :)
