  1. When a tag is selected as the active thought, the child thoughts of that tag should not display its tag hint, as this is redundant and creates unnecessary UI clutter.

For example, you have a tag called "Client". Normally, when you view a thought tagged as Client, you want to see the tag hint. However, if the Client tag is the active thought in the plex, by definition, any child thoughts of this tag must be tagged as "Client", so it's ridiculous and messy to display dozens of thoughts all showing the Client tag hint. However, if any of the…

  2. I would love to be able to email and/or text a Thought or Note into my Brain while away from my PC. As one learns to use PB to manage one's creativity, tasks, "life," there may be times when an item comes up that belongs in the PB. I'd love to be able to email or text it in to my PB, even if it defaulted to a "holding Thought" of some sort.

  3. Even though the spotlight search integration is a nice workaround, but drag and drop of contacts from the OSX native app into TheBrain would be a lot more convenient!

  4. Enable WebBrains to be able to show the contents of the Notes Window for a thought that the mouse cursor is hovering over just like in the desktop versions.

One of my new applications for TheBrain Pro 7 is as a teaching support tool I project it onto a large screen, increase the font size (Plex and Notes Window), and use it as I teach. In addition, I later synchronize it to your Cloud Services and make it available to my students for review, reference, further exploration, linking to other websites, and downloading of PDF documents.

    I make heavy use…

  5. On the mac, you can colour code files inside Finder.

E.g if you're watching a TV show, you can colour the episodes that you've wathched in green.

This is very useful for proccessing files in a folder.

It would be great to have equal/better functionality in the brain thought folder.

  8. Feature a lock button that requires a password or pin to open the thought and any attachments in the though. As a manager I keep Personal Identifiable Inforamation in these thoughts and would like the added security.

  9. I would like the ability for the "Show Sibling" feature to be able to be disabled for WEBBRAIN just as it can be Personal Brain. I want to roll the tool
out to non-technical people and this makes it far easier for them to understand and navigate. In short, for when this feature is disabled in Personal Brain for it to synch as such to Web Brain.

  10. Offer the user to define existing link types as 'relationship / theme' links. This makes it possible to discover / visualise different relation structures that can exist all in the same brain. (all un visible or fixed now one and the same brain). The result is that from only one brain, the creator can now select and highlight relationships hidden in a complex brain. So 1 single brain can visualise more stories just by selecting and visualising the specific relationship, and all non-relevant thoughts for that specific relation dissapear to the background.

Context / relationship or Theme switching so to…

  12. I often write up coloured documentation and paste it as HTML into my Brain.

I'd like to be able to use a hotkey to switch between design and HTML views, to speed up the proccess.

  13. Allow us to send a simple link (can be password protected or not) to friends and colleagues so that they can add to and edit TheBrain (without the TeamBrain setup process).
You can charge for this added feature, but this would allow quick and efficient collaboration and gives control of sharing to the user.

  14. I have a series of tags for "year last updated", which I manually create each year.

I'm sure other users could identify other through characteristics that could be exposed dynamically as tags.

Color should be user-selectable as with regular tags, and should be selectable by thought as with regular tags.

In addition, I can imagine giving users the option of selecting some tags globally (to display on all thoughts)

  15. I would like to be able to add a (linked) thought from another brain to my exisiting so it would show all the attributes (maybe even read-only) of that thought in the other brain.
Currently it is only possible to add a thought url, but therefore you have to create a new thought and only see the linked thought in the files list as link. You cannot see e.g. the notes of this foreign thought.

  16. I often archive or move very deep hierarchy thoughts between different brains, and the current copying mechanism is very time consuming since I have to select all children thoughts one hierarchy level at a time. It would be more efficient to be able to copy a thought along with all of its children using one command.

  18. For example, I have a thought called "inflammation" it has eight child thoughts with links of type: four "subtypes" and four "components". Because of the spelling of the thoughts, all of them are mixed up and disorganized. This happens very frequently.

For better thought organization and readability, I would like for thoughts to be alphabetized first by their link type; second by the text of the link type (i.e. "exudate" [Action link type - Causes] -> acute inflammation), so that "Causes" does not cause the associated child thought to be mis-grouped with other thought types and better organizes among other…
