adding BrainBox to the right click Context menu on web browsers
I think adding BrainBox to the right click Context menu on web browsers would be a great and much needed improvement.
Often times I search and find a link I want to add to Brainbox, but don't want to open the URL. I'm well aware of drag and drop, but that does no good when you use apps in full screen, I'm also aware you can Alt+Tab to TheBrain while in full screen while dragging the link, but if you have a lot of apps open, this is not feasible.
Adding BrainBox to the apps area (See SingleFile) of the…

Detector for broken links to external files
This is an old idea/request: Please make it possible to generate a report for thoughts with links to external files that do not exist at that location any more.
This is a must have for me.
Also a report for broken URL attachments would be nice.
I guess, the process of generating this report would be slow, but it would be worth the wait.3 votes -
Remote Management of Brain Installations for Security
In addition to the essential Two Factor Authentication capability implemented, we should have management of Brain installations available from account settings. This particular admin capability should also specifically require 2FA to open and then allow remote management / remote delete of brains / remote un-installation etc.
The use-case example is installing TheBrain on additional devices for use with online or local brains but in case of loss of tablet or a device, TheBrain should be able to be managed remotely from the user account so that should TheBrain be opened by a third party on a lost device, the software…

Features to add to mobile app
Calendar should be visible in mobile apps, we should be able to edit link labels/name thought relationships in the mobile apps.
Basically, if we want to put all our thoughts out in the brain but we cannot access it on our phone app (since a laptop/ipad is not portable all the time), it makes it less useful. The phone app should be a close replica of the desktop app to really make thebrain more useful to the users. Thanks.
11 votesComing soon in the next update of the mobile app - virtually all of the features from the desktop (version 15)

Gamification Skill Tree View
To keep up with something that is out there, and where The Brain could leap forward into a new paradigm.
Create a "Skill Tree" view, which resembles skill trees that can be built in video games.
Add some graphics options such as thought shapes and zero text options.
We already have the option to modify the plex to have interesting backgrounds, so that isn't needed.
Being able to toggle text on and off, replacing it with an image. If you had the ability to use .png files for the images, then you could actually end up with very dynamic looking…

Is it possible to create a knowledge graph of an entire brain?
I have a lot of internal documents, many nodes and links. I would like to use some knowledge graph tools to sort and cluster things in ways that can be done with knowledge graphs.

New Feature
Provide support for X Cards. https://developer.x.com/en/docs/x-for-websites/cards/overview/player-card
This would allow users to embed Brains or elements of brains perhaps, into posts on X.
With X Communities beginning to take off, this would make use of TheBrain as a value add to communities.
This would help on other communities too, like Skool.

In TB15, keep the folder names and other structures that exist in TB14
You changed the folder names during the TB8 to TB9 update, and I lost all of the links that existed between Word documents that were housed in TB8. So I have to have all my TB8 content in the TB8 structure, and now TB8 isn't supported and doesn't work. So I can only access through Windows Explorer. Please don't repeat this.

Hide Text in Notes
I used a lot of LATEX to write long texts but now, I have pretty much switched over to use notes in the Brain.
One feature, however, I truly miss, is the possibility to hide text.In Latex, whenever I put a % sign in front of a line of text, the paragraph will not be printed, the text is however still there.
Why is such a feature interesting?
I am writing a text that later I will print out as a pdf and hand out.
% I work on the tex for a long time and put in ideas,…8 votes -
Enable AI prompts to use content from TheBrain thoughts.
This would be a GAME CHANGER for me. I understand TheBrain uses an External AI tool to generate its responses and that it does not use the content of the brain as a custom large language model (though that should be a long term aim!). However, it should surely be easy to create a custom prompt that retrieves information from the Brain that can form part of the prompt that is sent externally.
For example, with AI tools I am currently creating prompts like, "Summarise the following", "Show any common threads in" etc and then I copy paste the content…6 votes -
Revisit supporting Google calendar sync
While it's not clear why TheBrain developers dislike supporting Google calendar sync, deprecating the feature is not good. Many of the notes I create in TheBrain are related to events, and so the abrupt cutting off of support without and explanation puts all those notes at risk. Not a good call.

I would like the ability to change a group of thoughts to a type or tag. Currently you have to do this one at a time.
When changing a thought to a type or tag you have to do it individually. It would be good to grab a group of thoughts and allow the ability to change the group to a type or tag.

The Ctrl D function needs more range
Inside the notes pane the Ctrl D function inserts the current date within a note. This function should be expanded IMO to allow the user to choose to insert a specified date also rather than being constrained to a current date.
I would also like to see dates inserted to indicate if they have a linked reference to schedules within the timeline function; and of course throughout TB.
This just makes sense regarding the UI/UX for connecting to and from as many aspects and areas of our work within TheBrain.

add a "read-only" mode to the settings for on-line access.
I want to be able to navigate my Brain in no-plex mode without instantly triggering the edit mode everytime I touch the screen. My only option is to log out of TB, which then means I can't see private thoughts etc.

Better mouse hiding (temporary) when using the keyboard.
I'm a primarily keyboard user. My mouse usage is very sparingly. (Keyboard navigation is much faster)
One of my biggest complaints when using the option "update displayed content on mouse hover or keyboard highlight", is that the mouse location takes precedence.
The issue is the thoughts content preview doesn't work as expected when navigating with the keyboard. If the mouse happens to already be in the area where another thought comes into during the reposition process after activating a thought, then that thought content is shown. Because the content preview is not the new positioned center thought, but the thought…

I would like to see a HotKey ShortCut for enabling and Disabling: "Activate Last Created Thought".
I find myself drilling down the Menu Tree:
Options/*Preferences/Behavior/Activate Last Created Thought
*Yes there is a short cut (Ctrl+,) to take you to Preferences.
But I still have to Drill down two more levels and then close the dialog box.
I find myself toggling this feature on an off more often aa I create more brains. When I am doing "Batch Imports" Such as receipts and notes for a thought I like to have it turned off so I stay in the thought I am importing to. This lets me see the imports falling in place in the plex and…

Delete topic and have the option to retain sub topics
Let's have the ability to delete topics & to choose to retain (or not) subtopics converting the siblings into independent topics/thoughts.
