  3. It would be helpful to add the usual "X" button for "Close Window" to the pop-up windows of the commands "Add Attachment/Add from Brainbox..." and "Add Attachmen/Add File from Template...". I know, one can use ESC, but having a "X" button for closing a window is an almost universal standard that everybody knows.

  4. I would like to be able to manually edit the html of notes from inside thebrain (and have it rendered in notes), to include styling and external scripts like Tabulator, which is a javascript library that is used to create dynamic interactive tables. I think adding a raw code html feature to notes would be awesome and allow us to customize our notes further!

  5. Need support for viewing and adding backlinks within the Android app. Such a feature is important within The Brain, so lack of Android support is puzzling.

  6. Please enable opening thought links in TheBrain app on iOS (and Android).

I use e.g. OmniFocus and DevonThink next to TheBrain. On MacOS I can post links to relevant thoughts into those tools and easily access the thoughts as needed.

However, instead of opening in TheBrain, on iOS these links do nothing. This limits cross-app workflows significantly on mobile

  7. Adding footnotes to exported reports/pdf. I understand that MATH functions of laytext work in the notes editor. Could latex functions like \footnote[N]{foot note text} and or \textit{italic text goes here} be added to the report export function. Love the note editor however it does not quite yet replace a word processor. Work around is to write in editors then cut and paste to laytxt.

  8. For purposes of feeding content to an AI, I'd like to be able to Create a Document that only includes the Thought Title and Label Content. Right now there is now way to exclude the full Notes content.

  9. I frequently use the outline view mode in The Brain Software, as it significantly enhances my ability to organize and visualize information. However, I've noticed that when I share a Brain with others, the web browser version of The Brain currently lacks this feature.

I believe the outline view mode is a valuable tool that would greatly benefit users of the Cloud version as well. Is it possible to add this feature to the Cloud version of The Brain?

Your assistance with this request would be greatly appreciated, as it would improve the overall usability and sharing capabilities of The…

  10. I'd like to be able to create a new orphan thought from an entry in brain box rather than adding it as a child to something else and then having to unlink it.

  11. I have used The Brain for years, but like many people I can't install programs on my work computer and must rely on the Web Client that syncs with the local installation on my personal computer. Backlinks and mentions are critical features for me, but they are not displayed on the Web Client. I would expect there are many in my situation who really want these features on the Web Client as well. Thanks for considering this.

  12. When using the Redo function in the AI assitant of the notes editor it would be helpful to have access to the last prompt entered. Often a Redo implies a change or refinement of the last prompt. Currently one has to reenter the complete previous prompt (and to remember the exact previous wording).

  14. I only see this in Workflowy and for me and many of my colleagues it works extremely well. I do hope my "burning the midnight oil" doesn't make this idea seem totally silly. Oh boy!

  15. I am not comfortable with the work flow of BrainBox. I suggest having two right click options (or left click options), one for Add to Brainbox and one for Select Parent thought. This allows the user to chose AT THE TIME OF ACTION, rather than having had to remember to set the setting on the last usage. I do not want Vulcan to open if possible, I would just want a search box, but understand if that can't happen. When using the Extension, I don't want to "be in The Brain", I want to be moving on to the next…

  16. I see .jpg and .png and .gif formats are supported (User Guide TheBrain 14 p115) Since the heic format seems to be standard in the Apple system, it would be useful to be able to copy them to icons.

  17. We need to be able to link to a thought from programs outside. I want to associate brain map thoughts within an ARCGIS storyboard.

  18. It would be very valuable to have a dynamic link capability between Thoughts and elements in MSOffice, especially Outlook. I am not talking about file links, but more like a direct interface so that a person in a Thought can be dynamically linked to their Contact in Office.

  19. Currently AI in the brain can be used to generate thoughts and content within thoughts.

I believe that the next logical step is to get some AI analysis of content and thoughts into The Brain.

I would love to have the ability to click a thought point, and drag as though I were creating or linking a thought. Then when I let go, normally it gives you a "create thought" bubble which lets you either search or name that thought. This could be above, left, or below.

But instead of requiring you to start searching, make the AI do the…

  20. I have thought types for people, organizations, etc. It would be nice if, when I put links to those thoughts into notes, if I were able to adjust their link color based on their thought type.

For example, if I set up People thoughts to be highlighted as green text color in Plex, I also want links to those thoughts in notes to be shown in green instead of the standard link color set up in the notes theme.

In Obsidian, this is possible with a plugin called Supercharged Links ( https://github.com/mdelobelle/obsidian_supercharged_links ).
