I would like to use an AI tool like perplexity or even internal Brain AI to search all thoughts and attachments
Right now the Brain ai tools go to the web to get their results. I would like to use all the information I have in my brains as the data source instead or in conjunction with the WWW. So this search could be from within the brain or via an external ai tool like perplexity

Some Tips for the BrainBox
I usually use the BB to keep ideas, comments, URLs, images, and so on, from LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Captures made by my phone - always in the phone. Now I have a BB full of material, and I hate to go there, and begin to understand what did I kept that or for what.
I suggest:
Rename the link (it does not work properly in my Android-Motorola Edge 40 Pro), and make it work, perhaps beginning with a key such as two or three characters...
then sort the info in the BB, and all those could be massive taken to…1 vote -

Allow assigning preset templates to Thoughts
Have the ability to apply a template to an existing thought, or at the time of creation.
Thought Templates should allow setting:
* Thought Type
* Thought Tag
* Standardised Notes text
* Standardised Attachments
* Date Incrementation in Thought Name or notes
* Standardised link type (only applicable to link made at time of creation)16 votes -
Allowing the X.com AI API to be used as an AI option to the Chat GPT Integration
The ChatGPT integration into Brain was in my opinion pure genius. Kudos to Harlan, Shelly, Matt, and all the engineers who made this possible.
Now could you do the same with others besides ChatGPT?
X.com AI integration would open TheBrain, in way I can only imagine.
Thanks

We need a powerful note editor like Typora
I hope you can refer to the markdown software Typora.
Its mathematical functions are quite powerful, with inline mathematical formulas and formula blocks, support for non-English characters, and center-aligned lines.The rendering process is processed by MathJax.
It also supports using pandoc to import and export documents, which is very convenient.Export to PDF with bookmarks. Go further and export or import. More formats, including docx, OpenOffice, LaTeX, MediaWiki, Epub, etc, can be exported or imported.
Automatically match common MD editor characters,Auto complete pair of brackets and quotes like a code editor. Also, There's also an option to auto pair markdown symbols,…

Customise Toolbar
These days, many apps have a feature to customise the toolbar: change sequence of icons or remove and add them. (Originally I was going to ask for a button to breing up the Todo List, but I realise that might only help me - while they real benefit would come if we had an option to just tailor it to our needs)
(Ok, maybe you think there are options that need to be there and maybe you always want them to be in that sequence - then at least give as the option to control a "custom" portion of the…

Customization on what is or isn't omitted in child thoughts
For example I use ISO format for dates, so 2025, 4 for april, and 2025, 4, 4, as a child thought would be the 4th of April, but that would look different then the 3rd which would look right as only "3", the fourth would be "4, 4"

Allow a way to Explore (and favorite) Public Brains
Like it was possible in the webbrain.com/explore apparently. Other the listed vs. Unlisted feature doesn't make much of a difference. And allow the search of Public Brains in the Desktop Client, as well as the ability to download them for offline use.

Private Hosted Sync Server Support
Allow me as a user to host my own sync service that I can use for air-gapped networks. This would allow me to share my brain with my local devices that cannot directly reach the Internet.

Support structured notes
While the free form of notes is useful, there are also scenarios where I'd like to feed/store handle structured data in my Brain (like records of database).
So the parent thought could have some flag associated with it that would cause all child notes to have a certain type.
And for every type, it should be possible to add "fields" to notes (in addition to a "text" field that all notes have). Field types could be (in addition to "markdown") be "integer", "float", "date", "boolean".
And these fields should be available in selections with comparison options as appropriate for the…19 votes -

iOS To Do List Sorting/Filtering
The iOS To Do List doesn't presently allow sorting by Name or Date Modified like the Mac/Windows version of the To Do List does. It's not even clear what sorting logic the iOS list is currently using ... it seems to put modified thoughts at the bottom, but there are confusing inconsistencies. At the very least, it seems like the iOS To Do List should be sorted by Date Modified by default (with To Dos from the last modified notes at the top).
Better still would be to allow for a user-controlled sorting choice, either by Name or Date Modified.

Add callout block function with note - Markdown
Callouts helps us include additional content without breaking the flow of our notes.
Add a few types to display with distinctive colors and icons to indicate the importance of the content, such as :
- Note - Highlights information that users should take into account, even when skimming.
- Tip - Optional information to help a user be more successful.
- Important - Crucial information necessary for users to succeed.
- Warning - Critical content demanding immediate user attention due to potential risks.
- Caution - Negative potential consequences of an action.

Add support for MathJax formulas, just like ANKI.
Both thoght nodes and notes support MathJax mathematical formulas to solve the problem of inability to input in subjects such as physics and chemistry. In addition, the formulas can support Chinese and other non-English characters.
